Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model 2019
Czech Republic are the defending champions of ENTMM. Mikolas Josef won the crown in 2018, edging out Ukraine’s Mélovin. The victory was the country’s first in either the male or female versions of the contest.
Along with the Czech Republic, many of the previous winners of ENTMM are in the running to win again in 2019. Lithuania have won the crown twice and Jurijus will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Sasha Son and Donny Montell. Russia’s Sergey Lazarev finished second behind Donny Montell in 2016 and will be looking to improve on his result.
Other former winners — such as Italy, Azerbaijan and Israel — also sent men in 2019 and are each chasing their second victories this year.

Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model 2018: Mikolas Josef
In case you missed it, let’s take a look back at last year’s contest. From violinists to vikings, the men of Eurovision 2018 had it all. We counted over 9,000 votes and the results were tight. Czech Republic’s Mikolas Josef is more than just backpacks and backflips — he was the winner of this prestigious honour.
Mikolas Josef represented the Czech Republic at Eurovision 2018 with the song “Lie to Me“. He became just the second Czech act ever to qualify for the grand final and finished sixth — the country’s best ever result. It was an uphill battle as he had to overcome a back injury to perform. But when he took to the stage, we were all queuing up in the dining room for a plate of spaghetti. A year on from the contest, Mikolas still has our readers making a puddle, amassing 1,391 votes (15.42%) to win the coveted crown. Mikolas has been active since Eurovision 2018, releasing “Lie to Me” in Spanish and dropping new singles, including “Me Gusta“, which placed second in 2018’s top tracks. We won’t lie to you Mikolas, we like you too.
With a background in modelling, it should come as no surprise that Mikolas has taken the trophy. Looking expensive at all times, Mikolas encapsulates all the qualities that Eurovision’s Next Male Model should have. Now it’s time to find out his successor.
