Euphoria! On the 15th of December, some of the best-known Eurovision Song Contest participants will come together in the Ziggo Dome to kick-off the Eurovision season in The Netherlands. The name of this event is Het Grote Songfestivalfeest, Dutch for The Big Eurovision Party — and we’re sure that it will be a party.

Since Duncan Laurence’s win back in May, the Netherlands has been completely captivated by the Eurovision Song Contest. If you want to get into Eurovision early this year, you should visit the Ziggo Dome this December. During this very special show, many well-known Eurovision participants will perform their biggest hits. The Ziggo Dome can welcome around 17,000 Eurofans from all over the world.

The line-up of this event is quite impressive so far:

Anne Marie David | Charlotte Perrelli | Corinne Hermès | Dana International | Dima Bilan | Edsilia Rombley | Eimear Quinn | Ell & Nikki | Emmellie de Forest | Helena Paparizou | Izhar Cohen | Katrina and the Waves | Keiino | Lenny Kuhr | Lordi | Loreen | Marie Myriam | Marlayne & Mandy | Netta Barzilai | Niamh Kavanagh | Ruslana | Ruth Jacott | Sandra Kim

More names will be announced soon. Het Grote Songfestivalfeest is produced by PilotStudio in collaboration with AvroTros. The party marks the start of a half-year full of activities prior to the 2020 edition in Rotterdam.

“It will be an unprecedented musical evening where a lot of winning artists from the present and past come together and will perform,” organisers say. “Never before have so many Eurovision Song Contest winners gathered. We are therefore proud that we already have a lot of confirmations from various artists.”

Don’t confuse this event with Eurovision in Concert. That will take place on the 4th of April in AFAS Live, also in Amsterdam. During EIC, participants from Eurovision 2020 will showcase their songs. Eurovision In Concert is a benchmark for fans and bookmakers and an excellent opportunity to take a good look at the competitors. It’s often the first time acts perform their songs live and it can really set the pace for their Eurovision season.

Tickets for Het Grote Songfestivalfeest started today via Ticketmaster. All performing artists will be accompanied by the Marcel Fisser band in the Ziggo Dome on 15 December. The Grote Songfestivalfeest will be broadcast on Dutch Television Broadcaster NPO 3 on the 1st of January 2020.

15 December is the last day of Duncan’s European tour. He is performing in Oslo that night. If they had waited one week he could also have attended.
