Junior Eurovision 2019 Contestants

After a week of rehearsals, the stage is finally ready for Junior Eurovision 2019 this Sunday. The online voting platform is now live ahead of the contest and you can finally have your say about who you think should win this year’s contest.

There are 19 countries taking part in this year’s competition. Reigning champions Poland are hoping to be the first country to win the contest in back-to-back years. However, there are many others who are itching to take the crown off them.

Like the past two years, the public vote for this year’s contest is done online. After watching a clip of the rehearsal footage from each act, you can vote for between three and five countries (including your own country should you wish to).

But, since the result of this voting is kept behind closed doors until the contest, we thought we’d run our own poll to see who you’ve voted for. Hopefully, this should give us some insight into where the points may be going at the end of Sunday’s show.

Russia came out on top of our pre-rehearsal poll. Armenia and Serbia followed closely behind in second and third respectively. Meanwhile, Poland and Spain rounded out the top five. But, have you had a change of heart after watching the rehearsal footage?

If you haven’t already, be sure to go and vote over at junioreurovision.tv here. Then, come back here and vote in our poll for the exact same countries.

As with the official voting, you’ll be limited to a maximum of five countries and will only be able to vote once. The poll will stay open until Sunday morning (although you have until 15:59 CET on Sunday to vote in the actual contest).

Poll: Who have you voted for at Junior Eurovision 2019?

[crowdsignal poll=10446217]

Who are you routing for in this year’s Junior Eurovision? How have your thoughts changed since seeing the rehearsal footage? Be sure to tell us that and who you’ve voted for in the comments below!

Since it’s a rather strong year and I couldn’t possibly pick just 5, I voted for Armenia because she’s my winner, Ireland because it’s magical and I love it, and then I chose Portugal, Italy and Ukraine because they’re heavily underrated though I like them nonetheless. I could’ve voted for Spain, Poland and France as well because I love them too but honestly, it’s not like they need my vote to do well in the contest so… Might as well try to help some of my other faves to not do so badly, especially Portugal, Joana is too precious to… Read more »

Voted for my 5 original favourites: Ireland (even tho her rehearsal disappointed me), Albania, North Macedonia, Armenia and Italy.
And from another device I voted for Spain and 4 of the most underrated ones from the rest of my top 10: Wales, Georgia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The biggest flop of this year is Australia. (was supposed to Rise but falled 5 places in my top after the rehearsal and now it’s 14th).

Am I the only one who thinks Ukraine deserved better? Her song is minimalistic but echanting and the overall performance feels magical. If I didn’t knew anything about the contest and the favs I would think Ukraine is one of them

Did Serbian people find this poll? Yesterday Serbia was 6th of 7th and now it is in the lead. Looks suspicious to me.

No matter who wins… we will hear, again, that Jon Ola Sand has VALID results… because… who cares even if they’re not (EBU doesn’t 3-:-) hihihi
Share the joy! JESC is a mess 😉

Based on rehersal snippets Netherlands made a huuuuuge uprise for me. I voted for them along Poland (vote for my own) Georgia (vote for the best harmonies) and North Macedonia (vote for the song)

Good luck talents!

Big NO for Ukraine, Russia and Ireland as far as I watched snippets… too much adult-looking acting-like-mature CHILDREN. Looks disgusting.

Albania, Armenia, Malta, The Netherlands and couldn’t think of 5th one (Belarus, France, Georgia, Ireland or North Macedonia). I decided on Georgia because it’s much better than music video (cant forget that cringe after i saw kid doing Travolta move). Also i think others will get more points anyway.

Tried hard to not vote on Poland, since that’s where I come from, but Id easily changed it with Georgia.

The snippets look gorgeous! Great job by the organizers and the delegations, it’ll be a great show. Mila and Melani really impressed me, so I voted for North Macedonia and Spain, along with 3 of my original favorites: France, Ireland and Albania. If I have the chance to vote with another device, I’ll also send some love to Ukraine and Armenia.

I’m really hoping Ireland get a good result. Anna is so professional for someone so young and I think she’d be an amazing winner.

North Macedonia

Voted because of the good rehearsals that blew me away:

I think Eurovision has something to learn from JESC, and that is that in JESC you never know who is going to win and the contest is quite thight, why? Because there are no BETTING ODDS!!

Poland you really know how to put up an amazing setup of Junior Eurovision that it even looked better than recent Eurovision stages 2019, 2018, 2017 etc. Even the bubble room is one of the best I’ve seen. Also the arena is perfect
BRAVO! Win Eurovision in 2020 so we can exprecience your setup again soon 🙂

Read carefully, maybe (?)
EurovisionFanMedia wrote about winning ESC 2020 in Rotterdam, not the JESC in 2019…

And no doubt if Poland would win 2020, it would be “organised” by TVP somewhere in Poland 😉 not again, but for the first time ever!

France, North Macedonia, Ireland, Serbia and Ukraine. My top 5 has stayed the same as before. I’m glad to see France topping the poll right now and hope to see no changes to that position. Also glad for North Macedonia and Ireland being so high.

My vote went to North Macedonia first of all, then Serbia and The Netherlands.
I think that ?? this year finally deserves to be at least in Top 5 if not to even win the show. Mila is doing a very good job and I am very #proud that Macedonia keeps it good after Tamara. They really improved in every side of Eurovision. Just Congratulations to keep it like this guys.

I must say, my list of votes changed almost completely
My winner, Poland, didn’t even get a vote from me as for today (I’ll be voting again though)
My initial votes, based on the second rehearsals went to Ireland, Kazakhstan, Armenia, North Macedonia and Spain
I really wanted to vote for Serbia and Albania as well and I can’t even believe I didn’t vote for Poland and France, but something was missing there for me
Good luck to everyone and I’ll vote again on Sunday so anything can still change 🙂
