Monique Make Me Human Lithuania Eurovision 2020

Lithuania’s newly revamped Eurovizijos atranka 2020 continues its six-week run in a couple of hours. But before that, let’s see which Heat Two acts you’re most excited for. And then, take a listen to some of the entries which have been released in recent days.

Moniqué is your favourite in Heat Two of Lithuania’s Eurovizijos atranka 2020

Last week, we asked you to vote for the Eurovizijos atranka 2020 act which you were most excited for. Online polls aren’t an exact science at the best of times, and in this instance they’re particularly tricky since not all of the entries have been released. Therefore, many readers will have made their decisions based on an artist’s past pedigree.

Nonetheless, the results are still fun to look at. And Moniqué is a clear favourite. The Eurovizijos atranka debutant picked up 220 votes.

Coming a very distant second is Rūta Loop with 68 votes. Just behind her is Alen Chicco with 64 votes. None of the remaining acts polled over 20.

Only six of the 12-strong field will qualify for the semi-finals.

  1. Moniqué “Make Me Human” 15.75% (220 votes)
  2. Ruta Loop “We Came From The Sun” 4.87% (68 votes)
  3. Alen Chicco “Somewhere Out There” 4.58% (64 votes)
  4. Antturi “I Gotta Do” 1.36% (19 votes)
  5. Twosome “Playa” 1.15% (16 votes)
  6. Voldemars Petersons “Wings Of Freedom” 0.86% (12 votes)
  7. Abrokenleg “Electric Boy” 0.79% (11 votes)
  8. Viktorija Miškūnaitė “The Ocean” 0.79% (11 votes)
  9. Kristina Jure “My Sound Of Silence” 0.5% (7 votes)
  10. Soliaris “Breath” 0.5% (7 votes)
  11. Germantas Skoris “Chemistry” 0.43% (6 votes)
  12. Indraya “You & I” 0.36% (5 votes)

Total Votes: 1,397

Note, this poll included all 36 Eurovizijos atranka 2020 acts. For the purposes of this post, we have extracted all of the heat two entries. The figures for percentages and total votes relate to the complete poll.

?????Kad ir kaip skub?jau bet nesp?siu ?gyvendinti pilno Eurovizin?s dainos ?rašo iki šio šeštadienio mano pasirodymo transliacijos. Tad nusprendžiau nusifilmuoti paprastesn?mis s?lygomis, be back? ir kokybiško skambesio. Bent taip pristatysiu Jums savo nauj?j? k?rin? WINGS OF FREEDOM. A?i? I feel like this semi was somewhat weaker than the first one, but it might just be for the fact that I had no time to properly absorb some songs. My six qualifiers would be: Alen Chicco, Twosome, Ruta Loop, Monique, Kristina Jure and Indraya. Only the first four left a lasting impression on me for different reason. I think that Alen Chicco might have the best song, only distracting his message with odd visuals. Twosome were the most fun ones. The song is very simple, but it indeed puts a smile on my face. Monique is obviously great on… Read more »

I think Alen Chicco has what it takes to win this thing. Love the song and love him. I only hope he doesn’t over-do it with the make-up and everything.

Don’t know who this Monique girl is and why she was getting hyped but this song is nothing special. Very Billie Eilish inspired but nauseatingly repetitive.

Love it! This song reminds me of Billie Eilish. Monique has a good chance of winning Eurovision!

So wtf… That was Moniqué’s song so many people liked? It’s not very good, about the same as their 2018 song. Are you guys serious that this could win ESC? I can’t see it even winning their NF.

I’m not listening to my country’s songs before the heats but after Monika Marija disappointed me last week I need Monique to be perfect

So far, my favorites are Moniqué, KaYra, and Gabrielius. I’m hoping one of them can win the whole thing 🙂

Talking about the new songs released… Monique ‘s “Make Me Human” is out now. Kind of a let down tbh but that happens when fans hype up songs. Alen Chicco’s “Somewhere Out There” is good, but not a masterpiece either. The ROOP’s song has an interesting beat and is enjoyable, I see it qualifying. Last Antturi sounds promising judging the snippet, nothing outstanding but has a beat. I still think Gabrielius is the best entry so far. This is how I rank the released songs so far (only appear the ones I like and are still in the race): 1.… Read more »

I’m with you about gabrielius’ song, with good staging it could be awesome. But monique and Alen chicco are in other level. Their 3 are until now my favourite to win.

I like ‘Alligator’. However the ‘oh-oh’ bit sounds suspiciously similar to a portion of ‘Brokenhearted’ by Karmin. And now I can’t get that song out of my head. 😛

I don’t get the love for “Make Me Human”, I had high expectations reading those comments. It has quality but it isn’t catchy enough. At ESC I think it will qualify and be in top15 but top5 or winner – not gonna happen.

Oh god, here we go again. WHY are they releasing songs one by one? Monique is kinda cool, not gonna lie. I’m sure her Atranka performance will be way better than this morning show. I also like Alen Chicco. Already forgot bby Monika Marija, sadly. It’s not her year 🙁

I don’t know why, but I have the feeling that KaYra will win in Lithuania. It just seems like a decision Lithuania would make judging by their past decisions. Not saying this song is bad, but Lithuania has made weird choices in the past.

Belieme me, she won’t win. It could be The Roop, actually.

I wouldn’t mind. Alligator is a nice and catchy song that really well balances being a joke act and an actual quality stuff. It would certainly be refreshing to hear on ESC among (assuming) a bunch of ballads, bops and minimalist electro-pops. It could see it pushing Lithuania into the left side of the final scoreboard if KaYra can be as charming in live as she was in the video.

Speaking of Monique… I think this is the first time ever I stan a Lithuanian performance. This revamped selection is going places.

The thing I don’t like in Lithuanian selection is the time of releasing songs… why not to publish all competing entries before first Heat? Or not to allow releasing songs and perform them for the first time during heats? Now it looks like a big mess, we know some songs and some are yet to release. Strange.

I agree. I don’t understand why they cannot release all songs at once. It’s heat 2 and some songs are still unknown.

How is it a mess? You’re supposed to hear the songs for the first time during the heats in general. Then during the Semis and Final they actively work on the performance.
It’s up to the performers if they want to release their songs early, and it is not a requirement.
