One of the biggest dates of the Eurovision calendar is upon us — the launch night of Melodifestivalen 2020!
The first seven acts in Sweden’s epic selection show will perform in Linköping in the hopes of snatching one of the four places that allow them to advance in the competition.
The top two will head direct to the grand final, with the next pair getting passes to Andra Chansen.
Felix Sandman is your favourite to win semi-final one of Melodifestivalen 2020
If it was up to you, Felix Sandman and Malou Prytz would go direkt to the final. Meanwhile, The Mamas and Robin Bengtsson would have to battle it out on Andra Chansen.
Returnee Felix Sandman with “Boys With Emotions” gathered 26.95% of first preference votes, or 578 votes. He also won the audience poll — taken after Friday’s dress rehearsal — ahead of tonight’s show.
Also returning to the competition, Malou Prytz came in second place. “Ballerina” got 25.50% or 574 votes.
In third place, it’s The Mamas. From backing vocals for John Lundivk to centre stage, our girls got 20.37% of the total ballot or 450 votes.
The last qualifying slot is occupied by Eurovision 2017 artist Robin Bengtsson. “Take A Chance” was the favourite of 437 readers or 20.37%.
The remaining acts would end their #Mello run in Linköping. Suzy P with 3.26% (70 votes), Sonja Aldén with 1.96% and Ovö with 0.98% (21 votes).
