The Eurovision 2020 season received a much need kick-start this week when Spain released Blas Cantó’s long-awaited song for Rotterdam — “Universo”. This brought the current tally of confirmed acts and songs to two, the other being Albania’s Arilena Ara with “Shaj”. She earned the right to sing at Eurovision after winning Festivali i Këngës 58 just before Christmas.
Rotterdam may still be a long way off, but it only takes two to tango. And what a fierce dance it’s been!
We asked y’all to vote for your favourite Eurovision act so far, and a whopping 3,990 votes were cast.
Blas put in a valiant effort, picking up 1,476 votes (36.99% of all votes cast). But the Iberian crooner was pipped to the post by the Balkan songstress. Arilena turned on the heat and scooped up 2,514 votes in the process (63.01% of all votes cast).

Thankfully, this isn’t a knockout blow. Blas survives to fight another day. However, he and Arilena will face additional adversaries. Czech Republic’s search for its next Eurovision act concludes tonight. Afterwards, we’ll relaunch the poll to include the winning song.

Arilena ara -shaj the best one
Arilena Ara is beautiful,but Universo is much better than shaj.
Shaj is an average song but Arilena is a great singer. Still I prefer Universo by far. Let’s be honest once for all, Eurovision fans are always disappointed when it comes to Spain and sometimes without any reason. Sure Universo is not the song of the year but it’s a good song really well produced. I think it deserves at least a top 15 if we look at the standards of previous years. I agree the revamp is coming very early March and I heard a sneak peak of it and it sounded AMAZING only 11 seconds and it was amazing, and then it was deleted
First time listening to Universo, I thought Shaj was miles better than it.
Now…Shaj is still better but not by as much as I thought.

I just saw an interview where Manel Navarro says in the last two years he lived a hell, and Blas Canto was close to him. Now Blas is next, poor thing. He already said he is not sure he made the right choice with Universo, because the haters. Why Spain is doing this? Let Spain send its beloved divas then.
Manuel Navarro can only blame his friends who made sure he won the Spanish selection for Eurovision… Facts are facts and Karma is Karma! Having said that, I hope he manages to move on because lingering in past does not bring anything good.

I love Shaj from Albania , she has strong and beautiful voice, the song is a masterpiece
Shaj wasn’t even In my Top 5 of Albanian selection
And in English it might lose its identity further

Dark Horse? A typical female ballad with no identity. Serbia 2019 already showed you the result the best it can get. Ps. I don’t like Me Tana, either.
Why bringing front Kruna , Shaj ‘s instrumental and execution is much similar with last year “proud”. She is great , the song is great , and the MAJORITY of voting people wont know anything about me tana.
