They performed as a duo at Melodifestivalen 2016. But three years after “Rik”, it seemed like Albin Johnsén was going to make his Mello return without his collab partner Mathias Andréasson.
But SVT’s weekly list of contributors, published ahead of semi-final three, confirms that there’ll be a reunion in Luleå. Mathias will provide supporting vocals to Albin during the performance of “Livet börjar nu”. The pair reached andra chansen last time. What will 2020 have in store?
Mathias is the biggest name on this week’s list of backing vocalists. In previous weeks we’ve seen the likes of ISA and Mathias’ EMD bandmate Erik Segerstedt lend their talents to this year’s batch of artists.
As always, the list gives us some clues as to what we can expect from staging. For instance, Mohombi, Mariette and Faith Kakembo will all be alone on stage.

I’m still waiting for Amanda Aasa’s song.
Tbh they really overhyped her when they announced her as a wildcard. I’ll be totally honest, I’m not a fan of her music
Everyone is fuzzing about Marietre and Mohombi, but i’m waiting to hear Anis’ and Albin’s songs.

this semi does not seem exciting at all to be honest…even though i have not heard the songs i feel like there is no artist interesting enough in it….
Yeah it will not be easy to top Anna or Dotter. But I hope for at least 2-3 acts that can. So that the final will be exciting. But I have a feeling that Hanna will fall just as Molly Sanden a few years ago with Universe. Last to perform in the last SF and expectations were high.. but flopped.
I look forward to Mariette and Mohombi.

Aside from the short breaks between each number, there’s a longer break after song 2 and (I think) after song 4. Plus they probably won’t be dancing the full 3 minutes for every performance. I’m sure they can handle it; these house dancers are pros. 🙂
Not entirely surprised the rap artists have backing singers. Have singers would help elevate their songs (imo). Can’t wait to see what everyone brings this week, esp Mariette and Mohombi!
