Lockdown is hard. But Victoria, the Bulgarian representative of Eurovision 2021, is hoping to make it a bit more tolerable. Tonight — that’s Saturday 28 March — the singer will deliver an online concert from her home in Sofia. It kicks off at 19:00 CET and will be streamed here: http://eurovision.icard.com.

“I am really excited for this concert,” she said. “It gives me the opportunity to perform for all the people that support me and will give me the opportunity to send some love back. I adore performing live and I am really happy I will be able to sing ‘Tears Getting Sober’ live tonight.’’

This performance will be a memorable one because Victoria will perform her Eurovision 2020 song live. While she did this previously — at the song’s launch party — that was a closer-knit affair. Tonight she’s going global!

At the time ESC 2020 was cancelled, Victoria was first with the bookmakers to win Eurovision. But she’ll soon be proving she is much more than that song, as she’ll also cover some of her favourite tracks from other artists.

Lewis Capaldi – Someone you loved
Harry Styles – Falling
Tones and I – Dance monkey
Dua Lipa – Don’t start now
JP Saxe and Julia Michaels – If the world was ending
Billie Eilish – I love you

More events coming up

The Bulgarian artist has more events scheduled in the coming weeks. Victoria will take part in the Spanish Pre-PartyES at Home on the 11th of April and she will also participate in the Eurovision Home Concert that is hosted by Eurovision.TV.

For the Eurovision Home Concert, Victoria will cover a popular Eurovision song that is chosen by fans of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Are you going to watch tonight’s performance? What do you think of Victoria’s initiative? Let us know in the comment section down below!

Björkman was right. They could have made a contest out of performances done in this way. It’s what the rest of the entertainment industry are doing at this difficult time.
