She is the singer who was due to represent San Marino at Eurovision 2020. He would have been the choreographer and artistic director of her performance. Together, Senhit and Luca Tomassini have launched the #FreakyDance challenge on Instagram and Tik Tok.
Senhit’s #FreakyDance Challenge
The challenge arose from a desire to find a new way to entertain people in self-isolation. And it’s very easy. All you have to do is dance to the music of “Freaky!”, Senhit’s would be Eurovision 2020 song. All this can be done from home. Once done, the video can be posted on social networks.
Here’s what the former Eurovision 2011 singer wrote when launching the initiative:
Here we are. Finally the #FreakyDance is ready for you! 🌈
We brought together the most iconic dances ever for a large rainbow poster. Obviously, there is also a #Freaky part, created for it! 😜
Dance and have fun with me and the super @lucatommassinireal (my angel ❤). How to do it?
– shoot your video
– upload it on your social networks, using #FreakyDance and #MyFreakyDance
– tag me and I will repost you in my ig stories. 👯👯
Let’s go!
The response was warm! And not only from fans of the two artists. Professional dancers and well-known entertainers have also accepted the challenge. Among them is Alessandra Tripoli — one of the dancers from the Italian version of Dancing with the stars. She joined her partner Luca Urso in a fun, romantic homemade pas de deux.
Patrizio Ratto, one of the dancers who would have been with Senhit on the Eurovision 2020 stage, played with filter effects to create a video that left us speechless!
He wrote on Instagram: “It would have been a fantastic experience. Unfortunately given the situation was all canceled but all this does not stop us. The Eurovision stage has become our home, our kitchens, our living rooms. The energy has remained the same. The effects will not be like those of Eurovision but I have managed as well as I could”.
The #FreakyDance has crossed Italian (and Sammarinese) borders as well. Autumn Miller, an 18-year-old dancer with over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, also attempted the challenge.
And there are also those who, instead of dancing, have given their own creative contributions. For instance, Luca Ramacciotti played the saxophone, giving life to a surprising vintage version of “Freaky!”.
The #FreakyDance challenge could not fail to arrive on TikTok, the video-sharing app that has surged in popularity in recent months. Thanks to Senhit and Luca Tommassini social networks are a bit more freaky these days.
@franci.stavoAdoro questo balletto! Fatelo anche voi e duettate con me💗💗 @senhitofficial ##FreakyDance ##MyFreakyDance
Are you ready to share your #FreakyDance too? Or maybe you’ve done it already? Let us know in the comments.
The video made by Patrizio Ratto is really incredible! :O Goosebumps. What would they have done on stage? Now I’m wondering with curiosity. What a crime not to see “Freaky!” at Eurovision.
fantastic
It’s good these songs are getting the chance to become popular after Eurovision cancellation.
