Oh, revamps. Sometimes they save an entry; sometimes they’re an honest attempt to make things better but manage to mess things up. At Eurovision 2020, there were no less than ten entries that went through a post-selection revamp. While some were drastic, changing genre or even language, others were hardly noticeable.
We asked you to vote for which country you think revamped their Eurovision 2020 entry the most successfully. Note, this poll was set up before Germany revealed the revamped version of “Violent Thing” intended for the Eurovision stage, thus it was not included.

Athena Manoukian’s “Chains On You” had the most successful revamp of Eurovision 2020
Securing the top spot in this poll is Armenia’s Athena Manoukian. Following her victory at Depi Evratesil 2020 with “Chains on You”, Armenia made some drastic changes to the instrumentation of the track. And it seems y’all thought the changes were for the better. Athena received 1,088 votes in the poll, which is 29.16% of the total cast.
A number of jurors in the Wiwi Jury this year also commented on how the revamp of “Chains On You” had improved the song. Antranig believed that “Athena presented us with perhaps the best revamp in recent memory and turned a good but repetitive song into a dynamic one”.
William was also on board with the revamp. Awarding the final version of the song a 9.5, he noted “it now takes us on a journey through space-age sounds, sensual breaths and even electro-bass – this is fire”.
The remaining results
Coming in at number two in this poll is Arilena Ara from Albania. The majority of Albanian Eurovision entries over the past decade have gone through some form of revamp after winning Festivali i Këngës. Arilena translated her FiK 58 song “Shaj” into English. Along with the language change, “Fall From The Sky” also had a more vibrant feel to it.
In the end, 802 people believed Albania had the most successful revamp of Eurovision 2020. This equates to 21.5% of the total number of votes.
Third place in this poll goes to Romania’s Roxen. The star’s revamp of “Alcohol You”, which added a more dynamic ending to the song, secured 467 votes (12.52%).
Rounding out the top five are Slovenia’s Ana Soklič and Serbia’s Hurricane. Both acts added some extra flair to their entries in the hope of winning over Eurovision voters. Ana picked up 294 votes (7.88%), while Hurricane were just behind on 283 votes (7.59%).

I don’t know why Ukraine is so low. The revamp made it miles better. I prefer the old version of Romania but it is still in my top 10
