They were two of the fan favourites that were set to compete at Eurovision 2020. And now, Norway’s Ulrikke and Iceland’s Daði Freyr are getting us in the dancing mood with the remixes of their Eurovision entries “Attention” and “Think About Things”.

Although we can’t hit the Euroclub this year, these two Nordic stars are making sure we still have the necessary tracks to dance the night away while in the comfort of our own homes.

Ulrikke recounts her Eurovision journey with “Attention” remix

Both Ulrikke and Daði Freyr have called in some big names to remix their Eurovision songs. Taking on the task of turning power ballad “Attention” into a dance anthem is German DJ Klaas. He’s previously topped the charts across Europe with his remix of “Infinity 2008” by British musician Guru Josh.

To put it frankly, the “Attention” remix is a Banger with a capital B. It takes Ulrikke’s emotional ballad and increases the BPM tenfold. If you’re in need of something to get the party started, then this is the perfect track to do so.

The music video to go along with the remixed version of “Attention” takes a look back at Ulrikke’s journey throughout the Eurovision season this year. The clips span the time between her first press conference at the Melodi Grand Prix 2020 artist reveal all the way to the MGP 2020 grand final in Trondheim.

Daði Freyr gets groovy with Hot Chip remix of “Think About Things”

Iceland’s Daði Freyr has called in British synth-pop band Hot Chip to remix his Eurovision song “Think About Things”. The group have had an extensive career and are perhaps best known for their song “Ready For The Floor”, which reached #6 on the UK singles chart.

Excited to announce the remix of the song, Daði Freyr posted on Twitter to say that his own music has been influenced by Hot Chip over the past decade:

“Hot Chip has been a huge influence on my music for the last ten years. It is truly an honour to have them remix the song. So happy! <3”

While “Think About Things” was already a well-crafted bop to begin with, the remix of the song takes things to next level groovy. The remix isn’t as full on dance banger as that of “Attention”, but the electro-synth sound has been amped up and provides a great repetitive beat to dance along to.

Good grief she has an amazing figure. Why was the camera always in front of her??
Serously though watching this is very sad. To think of all the hard work that went into the songwriting and preparation of the staging etc All the emotions going through her head. To take that away from her is disgraceful. Norway is putting their TV schedule before the feelings of their winner. Surely they can miss one final and honour this young lady as well as all her team.

That Klaas remix of Ulrikke’s song is brilliant! I also quite like the remix of “think about things” as well! Very fitting for the song itself!
