Finland’s Krista Siegfrids — Miss Congeniality of Eurovision 2013 — has blessed our social media with some happy news direct from Amsterdam. On Wednesday the “Marry Me” hitmaker took to Instagram to announce that she is pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend — affectionally known as Mr Amsterdam.
She couldn’t contain her excitement as she gushed: “SOS WORLD!!! 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 Dutch – Finnish baby on board! 😍👶🏼 We already apologize for all the trouble this little wildling is gonna cause! 😜 We are so happy and we can’t wait to meet Baby Amsterdam! ❤️🙏 #babyamsterdam #zwanger #babyonboard #coronial #amsterdam”
Krista keeps the finer details about her boyfriend under wraps, but regularly shares loved-up holiday snaps, and lets us all know that he is a #dutchdelight.
Wiwiblogger William actually met him at the UMK 2020 afterparty in Tampere, when they were both standing in line at a hot dog stand inside the bar.
“He was a perfect gentleman, observing the queue and neatly dressing his hot dog with relish and other condiments without creating a mess,” he tells me. “It was obvious how much he adores Krista as his eyes lit up when she came over to say hello.”
Krista is currently on lockdown in Amsterdam, but has already promised to make a swift return to Helsinki once she is able to start working again. While family will definitely be at the top of her list, we’re sure it won’t be long until Krista’s back on Finnish TV screens, whether she’s judging Finland’s Got Talent, or hosting UMK, Finland’s National Eurovision Selection.
Krista’s followers already know that she is very close to her nieces, and is always more than happy to take on auntie duties like baking cookies.
Krista isn’t the only Eurovision star to be enjoying the so-called lockdown baby boom. French duo of Eurovision 2017 Madame Monsieur also announced in April that they are expecting a baby boy.
