He’s the Croatian star with a massive voice who won the right to sing for Croatia at Eurovision 2020. And even if Damir Kedzo was denied that chance because of the pandemic, he’s walked away from the contest with a legion of new fans and “Divlji vjetre” (Wild Wind) — a ballad big enough to let him show off all those emotions.
Earlier this summer, we phoned Damir and asked him to explain the metaphor of wild wind. Walking down the street and holding his mobile phone, our man did not hold back, showing what a romantic — and what a thinker! — he is.
“The lyrics of the song…are about someone who is just like the wild wind,” he says. “I think it’s a common topic nowadays with all of us just trying to find love.”
“Many of us approach love like fast food — need to get it and move on. It’s about you as a person being someone who can really love and really imagine being together with someone for a real long time. And that someone is not like that. They are the wild wind who thinks love can change all of a sudden.”

Kedzo He is very talented, I hope he will go to Eurovision one day, in addition, the media in Croatia reports that on February 13, Dora and HRT will soon collect song submissions for Eurovision 2021
It’s off topic but Alicja is 99% representing Poland next year. The Polish broadcaster in a jesc2020 meeting has confirmed that Poland will participate in esc2021 and that they are intended to stick with Alicja for the upcoming contest and Alicja has already said that she is hoping to comback next year. An official confirmation will come after there will be agreements between the Polish broadcaster and her record label.
That’s a good news. Good to see Poland back. As someone who loves Empires, I’m glad that Alicja is probably back as well.
