The first heat of Lithuania’s Pabandom Iš Naujo! 2021 was filmed on Tuesday 12 January. This means we now know the first ten acts which will appear in the televised broadcast on Saturday 16 January.
Interestingly, the number of acts confirmed to compete in this year’s selection is still officially listed as 23, even though some acts, including Evelina Sašenko, have already withdrawn from the competition. Could the broadcaster have new replacement acts ready to go? We won’t know for sure until the line-up for the second heat is confirmed next week.
The panel members for episode one are Ramūnas Zilnys, Jievaras Jasinskis, Vytautas Bikus, Ieva Narkutė and Aistė Smilgevičiūtė.
However, unlike 2020, the jury comments will only be given after all the acts are finished on stage rather than in between each individual performance. Also, it seems that the jury votes will no longer be revealed in advance of the show airing.

Pabandom Iš Naujo! 2021: Heat One Acts
1. Black Spikes & Indrė Launikonytė “Don’t Tell Me”
Black Spikes is a relatively new female rock girl group, releasing their first album in 2020. They will be joined by Indre Launikonyte, a singer who started her musical journey on Lithuania’s version of The Voice. We should expect something dark and edgy from their entry “Don’t Tell Me”.
2. Thomukas “Wish”
While Thomas hasn‘t in the public eye for some time, viewers may remember him from Lithuanian X Factor back in 2015. He always delivered unique and interesting performances during his stint on the talent show. But it seems that he’s gone with something much more laid back for his Eurovision attempt, “Wish”.
3. Be U “Love Yourself”
From weddings dance floors to the big Pabandom Iš Naujo 2021 stage. This year’s national selection will be Be U’s first major TV appearance. “Love Yourself” is dedicated to self-love.
4. Voldemars Petersons “I Never Fall for You Again”
Singer-songwriter Voldemaras will be making his fourth attempt to reach Eurovision. Every year he wins over more and more fans wot his beautiful classical music. This time he is doing something a little bit different with “Never Fall For You Again”.
5. Martyna Jezepčikaitė “Thank You Very Much”
While still young, Martyna is already well known for her second-place finish on Lithuania’s X Factor in 2019. This will be her first try at Pabandom Iš Naujo!. But with her strong voice, she should be able to do well with her “Thank You Very Much” — a song which was previously listed as “F**k You Very Much”.
6. Donata Virbilaitė “The Way I Am”
Donata is back in Lithuania’s national selection once more. She is a well know singer and has had her moments on a lot of different TV shows. She even had a music group in Turkey back in the day. This year’s entry is “The Way I Am”. It is much more lyrical and simple compared to her past tries.
7. Twosome “I Love My Bear”
The trio are back in the national selection for a fourth time with yet another very fun and energetic song, “I Love My Bear”. After finishing third on X Factor Stars, Twosome have amassed even more fans than before. Maybe this time they might reach the grand final?
8. Milita Daikerytė “Shadows”
Milita is quite a big name in Lithuania. She recently won X Factor Stars, restarting her music career after a few years break. She is not a newcomer to Eurovision since she already tried her luck in both Junior Eurovision and multiple national selections. “Shadows” is about the ongoing situation and people’s relationships.
9. Aldegunda “Sit Down”
Aldegunda is competing in the national selection for a second time. Back in 2019, she did pretty well with “I Want Your Love”, reaching the semi-final. She’s back with “Sit Down”, which is in Lithuanian even though the title is English.
10. Titas & Benas “No”
This pair of cousins impressed everyone with their strong vocals in Lithuania’s X Factor. This will be their first time competing in the national selection, but they will certainly impress the jury with their amazing singing abilities and their entry “No”.
