Just hours before the opening credits roll on the second episode of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2021, we can reveal that one act has the backing of the majority our readers. If their taste is to be trusted, Raylee should easily qualify for the MGP 2021 grand final with “Hero”.
Raylee is your favourite to win semi-final two of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix with “Hero”
After counting a total of 1,303 votes, we can confirm that Raylee is the overwhelming favourite to emerge victorious in tonight’s second semi. “Hero” picked up 758 votes, which amounts to a massive 58.17% of all votes cast. Raylee has also been leading with the bookmakers throughout the week.
Raylee made the MGP grand final last year with fan favourite song “Wild”. The songwriting team for “Hero” includes several iconic Eurovision and national final names. Raylee says “This year we are back to the ’80s. I have a real power song.”
R&B crooner Daniel Owen comes a distant second with “Psycho”. The entry attracted 313 votes or 24.02% of all votes cast. Daniel is a talented singer and dancer and first came to fame back in 2011 after winning Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 11.
Even further behind is Maria Solheim with “Nordlyset”. The track scooped up 153 votes or 11.74% of all votes cast. Ketil Stokkan’s “My Life Is OK” barely registers with just 79 votes or 6.06% of all votes cast.
