After a brief affair with internal selection methods, France returns with its first national final since 2019. However, Destination Eurovision is out and Eurovision France, c’est vous qui décidez! is in. The 30 January one-shot final will see 12 acts compete for the opportunity to represent the French at Eurovision 2021.
And, for once, international fans won’t be restricted to internet live streams. It will also be possible for many to watch the old-fashioned way — on TV!
Here’s how and you can watch the grand final of Eurovision France, c’est vous qui décidez!.
Watch Eurovision France, c’est vous qui décidez!
Time: 21:05 CET to 23:35 CET
On Television
French viewers should switch to France 2. Meanwhile, fans across much of Europe will be able to watch via TV5 Monde. The network is available on most basic satellite and cable packages. It is even free-to-air in many cases. Alas, the show doesn’t appear in the listings for TV5 Monde in regions outside of Europe.
Online
French viewers can watch using the France 2 live stream. However, this is typically geo-blocked.
International viewers may be better off trying the TV5 Monde (Europe) live stream.

Eurovision France’s new voting system will be divided into two stages. The first stage will be the qualification phase: the seven songs that come first in the public vote will be selected for a final vote. An eighth song can be picked by the jury — a so-called “euro-ticket” — and will be eligible for the final vote. The vote will then be reset to zero. The public and the jury will then vote 50/50 for the song that will represent France at Eurovision 2021.

voila the winner will be huge with jurys. portugal 2017 vibes perhaps
Whoever’s in charge of staging for the performances needs to learn how to edit their ideas. Duncan is right in saying that they need to keep the focus on the artist/s.
The camerawork is soooo bad, Barbara sang beautifully, but there were so many strange angles and odd ways of filming her, terrible. Same with Casanova, looked aweful. Not what they deserved
I just have one question: Is it going to be in Paris or Marseilles? 😛 😉 VOILA!
Vilnius, my dear, Vilnius!
Ok so just hand it over to Barbara. That was so superior to everything else on so many levels.
PERIODTTTTT
Can someone explain me what the nubmers after they sing are? For example Juliette got 7 what does that mean
The average score of the juries, I think.
It’s not important – just how many jurors gave the song a heart, like Lolek said.
It boggles my mind how in this sea of generic dance-pop songs someone can still say “Voila” isn’t miles ahead of everyone else. Why the denial?
France 2 is blocked for me, but TV5 plays just fine. Yay.
Oof Amir didn’t seem to like the male singer’s movements in Andriamad’s song. He says it doesn’t feel 2021 and seemed a bit robotic but the rest was fabulous.
And in case people were wondering what is being said, the jury can give ‘hearts’ to songs that really marked them (I guess they can give them to as many songs as they like – 8 of 10 judges gave Andriamad a ‘heart’). I think the 8th song will get selected to go to the final based on the entry that has the most ‘hearts’ (of course the top 7 finalists are the top 7 as voted by the public).
The french national final doesn’t seem to be available for live viewing in quebec this year. Guess it’s vpn’ing it to watch it on France 2 this year.
the level of songs is low compared to 2018 [the best!] and 2019.
I am going to watch it by using VPN (lol) and hopefully i can vote too!
Voila and Bah Non are stand-out songs for me but there will be surprises in the live show, as always.
Since some countries cannot watch the final live, I recommend you all to install Touch VPN on the extensions of your browser, since there is a French server. It’s pretty easy to use and MaxxyRainbow also uses it to watch ESC from the US.
I usually use it to watch some videos that aren’t available for Portugal and I didn’t have any problems up until today.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Do you have to pay for it eventually? =)
No! The best is that is free 🙂
Yaaaay! Thank you again!
I did and (so far) it works for me! Thanks!
Hello, TV5 Monde Europe link doesn’t work in Slovakia, is it working in your country? It writes that there is a problem, where can I watch it?
It’s working on my phone and I am sitting in Germany.
thank you, its strange I don’t know why Slovakia blocked it.
Some eurofan will definitely re-stream it on Youtube. Just search for it.
If you have it and if you want to see this on TV, yes.
One of them and then I will be happen. Please not Terrence James.
I will be happY , of course
So apparently French territory like French Polynesia get to vote so I think Amui will do really well because of that
Apparently televoting during the live show will be international and everyone can take part in it, interested to see how it’s going to turn out 🙂
Am I the only one who thinks Terence is criminally underrated?
What do you like about his entry?
The song and his performance don’t work for me –maybe he’ll be different on stage but in the video he seems lifeless with it and doesn’t look like he’s feeling anything in the lyrics or movements of his body (not even sure if it’s choreographed). The song’s title lyric sounds nice when he sings it the first time but it’s repeated way too much. The flute in the background instrumental track sounds like it was made for something else.
Him and Pony X are my favourites tbh. The lyrics are a little repetitive but the man has a godly voice and I love the melody of his song.
No you’re not alone me too, I like his song moreover when you see his official videoclip it’s even better, I don’t care if it’s repetitive or not, cause like that after the first listen it stucks in your head more easily. And everybody has to know that when the singers made their auditions they didn’t know they were filmed and that the videos would be on YouTube that’s why Terence, Casanova or others don’t move so much, but in the Terence’s official videoclip you can see he can move and I can say for the performance of tonight there… Read more »
His official video is definitely eye-catching. I’m surprised by the high production value considering its pre-selection, which makes me wonder who’s paying for it. As eye-catching as the video is, Terence is the least interesting thing about it for me though…instead of looking at him I’m looking at the beautiful dancers, I’m thinking about the woman on the phone and what she’s doing, and why all the people inside are in prohibition-era costumes but outside they’re in contemporary clothing, then I’m left wondering why he’s still singing that one line over and over again. He has a nice professional voice,… Read more »
Your opinion, for me he is good, he is a good singer and you will see his performance and maybe you will change, for me the choregraphy during the chorus will make it less repetitive.
I can tell you really like him, good luck for the competition then — maybe he’ll really bring it in the live version, like you say 🙂
Hopefully he brings along those dancers from his music video as well.
“Who’s paying for that” ?!! As if he doesn’t deserve a good videoclip!
He is a promising and fresh artist so it’s not surprising people believes in him.
Calm down, addict. I didn’t say he doesn’t ‘deserve’ a good videoclip, but that it’s surprising he has such a big budget for a high production video. I’m sure he’s very promising and fresh—but so are lots of other entrants for the French selection and they don’t have the same kind of video outputs.
Lol I’m not angry at all sorry it’s only my way to talk, yes I like him as my others favourites.
And I can confirm you will see the dancers you like tonight 😉
What is the point of an 8th song getting a ‘euro ticket’ to the second round—isn’t it completely pointless if it did that badly with the public vote in the first round?? Sounds like a gimmick at best and unnecessarily controversial for the artist/new public selection show at worst if the 8th-placed artist somehow won.
Rooting for Andriamad and Barbara — and I can’t imagine any of the others in the top 2.
For me please Barbara or Juliette !!
Does anyone know if the livestream will be available in Canada
Rooting for Barbara and Andriamad
France 2 confirmed that there won’t be geographic restrictions during the live show tomorrow on their website so fans will be able to watch it on internet, or on TV5 Monde, as said in the article.
Merci. 🙂
I hope they’ll do it, but it’s hard to be confident when the songs’ videos are still geoblocked. I’ll leave a VPN ready just in case.
12 points for sharing!
where is the article please?
Barbara!
Everything but not Barbara and Juliette please ???
And why not? Eurovision is not only about uptempo pop songs, it can be about performances and emotions.
It gives a new meaning to the term ‘so one note’ when some people only want one type of music at Eurovision.
I will be happy if Terence, Phillipine, LMK, Andriamad, Pony X and Barbara do well, they are my favourites. Ali and Amui can surprise tomorrow.
AMUI will definitely surprise, I’m convinced about it since the beginning. French people usually like this kind of song that uses the culture of our regions, just like Battista that came 3rd at the televote in 2019 with an awful vocal performance. Can’t wait for the show, anyway.
I have seen a snippet of Amui’s rehearsals and yes it can be good.
Overall the stage is very nice and impressive and the stagings I have seen seem amazing, so yeah everything is promising. Can’t wait too, and I will be happy whoever is the winner.
Goooo Juliette !!!
I’ll be rooting for LMK
My second place goes to Barbara and Andriamad
Anyone know if the international link will work in the US?
I hope they un-geoblock one of those links, but at the moment both aren’t available. TV isn’t even an (expensive) option here, because the show hasn’t been scheduled on the Latin American TV5 Monde. So, I still don’t know if I’ll be able to watch it. It’s probably the first time in my life I’ll miss something happening in Facebook like they did for Destination Eurovision.
Perhaps a vpn would do the trick? I downloaded one called secure vpn for free and it seemed to work.
I haven’t tested mine yet, but I hope it will work with at least one of the links.
Omg i’ll watch on tv5monde and i’ll rooting for Barbara!
Sameeee
TV5 Quebec will be broadcasting the show in Canada on a time delay, it will air at 8:00pm Eastern time
