It’s taken a while, but Super Saturday has arrived. After several weeks of two or three shows, we’re in the deep-end… at least by 2021 standards. Tonight fans will have half a dozen national selections to keep track of. We’ll finish the night with three more Eurovision 2021 entries to add to our Rotterdam playlist.
Here are all the details you need for 2021’s sixth Saturday of national selections. We’ll be checking in with semi-finals in Portugal, Estonia and Sweden and a finals in Finland, Norway and Spain. You can follow all the results on wiwibloggs (and via our Twitter: @wiwibloggs and Instagram: wiwibloggs) throughout the evening. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s happening, when it’s on and how to watch.
Saturday 20 February: Eurovision 2021 Selection Shows
Estonia’s Eesti Laul 2021
Semi-Final Two
Time: 18:30 CET to 20:00 CET and 20:30 CET to 21:15 CET
Estonia’s national selection kicked off on Thursday when semi-final one whittled down the first batch of entries to just six finalists. Tonight, another 12 are up for consideration across two rounds of voting. The first will see four qualifiers picked through a combination of jury and public vote. A second round of televotes alone will determine the last two qualifiers. Standout names in this heat include Uku Suviste and Jüri Pootsmann.

Norway’s six week long selection comes to an end with tonight’s 12 act final. KEiiNO and TIX are the frontrunners, but the line-up is packed with fan favourites including IMERIKA, Raylee and Jorn. The top four will then progress to the Gold Final. Here the number will be halved, with the last two standing battling it out in the Gold Duel. The winners will be selected by viewers at home using the Melodi Grand Prix online voting app.

Grand Final

Finland’s UMK 2021 will see seven acts take to the stage. Several have already had chart hits before the contest, including Ilta, Teflon Brothers X Pandora and Blind Channel. But only one can win. The result will be determined by a public jury split. However, the viewers at home will have 75% of the final say. Last year’s televote winner Erika Vikman will return to open the show.

Which show will you watch? Let us know below.
I was thinking dark copper.
I am in a good mood because Magus melanhoolia and Tartu qualified! 🙂
Oh, yeah, and because Spain picked the right song.
I think you and I are actually among the rare ones here who like Tartu. 🙂
I hope that Sabrina is happy with at least some of the qualifiers / winners tonight. Hugs, Sabrina!
As for Spain, I actually like the winning song (a grower), but I see little chances of it getting out of the bottom 5, objectively speaking.
I guess I won’t watch Eesti Laul’s final. I know all the entries and I guess we already know the top 3 and the winner. So…
Not happy with Estonia’s decisions, mixed feelings about Portugal’s, pretty fine with Finland’s, a tad disappointed but not surprised with Norway’s and Spain did the best they could have done tonight.
I actually ”lost” three of my rare 10/10 ratings tonight – KEiiNO, Osrk and Ilta. They will, along with Gebrasy, probably form my very top of NF songs.
Still, I am okay with all three of the winning songs tonight. If Dark Side and Fallen Angel came as internal choices, I would likely be happy. The comparison made me tad disappointed, but fine.
Haven’t watched Portugal or Sweden yet, so I’ll probably do it tomorrow.
I still have Melfest to watch, but I think we haven’t missed much… KEiiNO and Oskr were serious contenders to my top 3, so now I have some open spots there.
I’m not so sure that Karetus will win, but I would love it, because it’s my favorite for now.
Good night, Tibor! I won’t wish you to sleep with the angels (is this an universal expression or just a Brazilian one?) because it seems each angel carries 4 demons by golden chains these days.
I was expecting to lose “Girassol”, but “Claro Como Água” was also a victim. At least “Saudade” is still alive and kicking.
“Voy a quedarme” won? He’s singing it again, but I don’t know if he’s been singing the two songs for 2 hours already.
Yeah, it won. At least they picked the one that doesn’t annoy me. Gracias, España!
Spanish show is terrible. Super boring.
I feel like Blas is having a super time (and that’s the most important), but it is padding upon padding upon padding. Wasn’t it supposed to be over by 23.25? Not even a sign of ending…
It lasts a bit long but that “Amar pelos dois”-cover was beautiful!
I must confess I totally forgot Spain is announcing their song tonight.
I hope so. The worst thing they can do now is to make me wait for so long and give me the song I don’t want.
I would only replace IAN with Sara (though her vocals weren’t that good) or The Black Mamba.
Those three are my favourites too.
Mema disapointed me so much
it was my biggets disapointment, i dont thing she sang well
All my solidarity to the Portuguese hosts that, if the schedule is right, will have to fill more than an hour and a half of live TV before the results of the semifinal finally get announced.
puhhh, so I need to leave you and will see the result tomorrow.
I also don’t remember the semis taking that long. But I checked RTP’s site and it’s actually scheduled to finish 0:30 CET. So, they just have an hour to kill now…
🙂 Thanks for tonight Tibor and Sabrina.
Next week we have more. 🙂 It will be a way more peaceful night though. Slovenia’s song, Melfest semi (hopefully a good one this time) and Portugal Part II.
Really? I think it was hideous haha And I really have a problem with her voice.
I think it was part of the show, because I wasn’t seeing that belly before. Maybe I was focusing too much on what’s going on her back though. 😛
That hairdo or the spiky back, she had to pick one. 😛
Anxiously waiting Tibor’s opinion on IAN’s look.
Same! Hahaha that Performance was strange!
terrible
Oh, he looked a little distracted at some points. And I‘m not keen about that rose-moment which gave a Deja Vu to Aleeksev. But it was good overall, wasn‘t it?
Romeu needs to connect with the camera, maybe he was nervous. I would say it can be improved with more neon to illuminate the stage. And the caretos (the masked men, part of the Portuguese Carnival) could come to dance earlier. All things considered, I still believe this is the entry with the biggest potential.
I agree totally – the masked men need to come earlier – I loved that part very much.
For some reasons the singers don’t get good outfits, I don’t like his jacket and the red carnation thing – I don’t know hm…
Saudade is what we really need from Portugal seriously
Very Portuguese and very modern at the same time.
The singer needs a little bit more expression, doesn’t he? I mean in his face and with his movements.
Maybe it was nerves? I would probably cut the rose thing. Not just because of Aleeksev, but also because the whole “I’ll have to take my rose and offer to the camera and I have to be cool about it otherwise my arm can start shaking” thing probably wasn’t helping him. Let he focus on his singing and bring the caretos to the center of the stage.
Just listen to the music and don’t look onto the outfits, hihihi
billie eilish inspired maybe

ir remember me that
It was indeed.
You do you, Norway
He really looks and dresses as someone you would find in a cool hipster place in Brazil.
Well, it’s a bittersweet night for me. I like the entries of Finland and Norway, but both would be like my 3rd or 4th choice. They probably lost the chance to get top my top 10.
Though I think the Finnish choice was very wise in terms of strategy. Blind Channel will play on a separated league in Eurovision, they’ll qualify this time. No idea how Norway will do with TIX.
I agree. It just shows how strong the MGP and UMK have been. But we can be thankful for all the great songs we could listen to and get to know.
Exactly! Great finals come with some mandatory mourning, because good songs and artists will be missed.
Like I said, I could pick at least four songs from what we heard in UMK tonight that would all be more than suitable Eurovision entries. I was always going to be a little disappointed bc obviously not all of my favorites are going to win!
She was my favorite along with KEiiNO. I lost part of her performance, so I can’t say if something went wrong. It was a strong final though and the same can be said about UMK’s. Finland and Norway did great this year, hopefully it will pay off when Eurovision comes.
Nothing went wrong.
In my opinion Norway missed a big opportunity with not sending Keiino 🙁
They may regret their decision. But TIX is very popular there, his fans aren’t probably worried about his result in Eurovision.
That’s why he won. And I have lost one of my favourite entries so far.
Keiino was my favourite but TIX was my 2nd so I’m happy.
Hope that he will sing in norvegian in the contest.
I do think it’s a tiny little bit funny that KEiiNO, who said that jury voting should be abolished because they ranked them low in Eurovision were defeated in televoting though not gonna lie. But I’m really not a huge fan of the song that won, I’m sorry.
And look, I’m really not trying to be mean but that is EXACTLY why you don’t do 100% televoting. Because they favor the person with the best “image” or who has the most fans.
I love the song, he performed it very well, and I think the staging fits it and him.
ok, let’s do this 😉
It is a shirt with sunflowers
Agreed. Hipster H&M hahaha.
I loved seeing how much it meant to Tix when he won. His song is a grower and is a definite qualifier for ESC. I’m not a fan of the staging but that can be changed easily. Well done Tix!
Well Tix has won…
Easily my last place probably of the whole contest because I dislike the song a lot and the performance leaves me cold which isn’t a good start. Also given the fact that it won over a potential Eurovision winner is gonna make me even sadder.
Anyway good luck to Norway and Tix. I hope people won’t be sending him any death threats or anything like that but I’m not gonna send my vote to this I’m afraid.
It is damned bitter that Keiino didn’t win. But the Norwegians decided. We have to accept it.
well, someone has to be in the last place in May. It will be Norway this time
I mean, it’s not like that has never happened before lmao (I’m sorry for being a sore loser haha I don’t think he will be last)
It seems that Germany or UK will not be last after all! LOL
Sad about KEIINO but congrats to TIX and good luck!
If I’m honest, I’m a bit sad to not see Keiino again on Eurovision, but a big congrats to TIX! He won fair and square.
TIX won! While I preferred KEiiNO, I hope no one will hate on TIX. He won fair and square, let’s not take it away from him.
i’m scared that he will get the same response as aksel had last year when he won…
That’s also what I’m afraid of, and I hope that it won’t happen. No one deserves that kind of hate.
Norway will be NQ.
That’s pity because they had amazing songs…
Bruh he literally has the best song in the first semi right now.
I’M SO HAPPY TIX WON
Yo Tix won!!!
He is really loved by the Norway public, well done and well deserved!
Tix with that staging will be NQ…
He will definitly change that 😉 the song is cool
Tix has won guys !
Oooh, it’s a close one
I can’t believe that Tix will win…The worst!
KEiiNO would possibly be my overall winners so far, BUT, I am *really* warming up to TIX as well. Really good performance and a really nice song. 🙂
Ulrike should have participated with this song !
Festival da Cancao – WONDERFUL MUSIC!
Beautiful performance by Valéria in Portugal.!
Festival da canção has started
Please Keiino win this!!!!!!!!
I‘m sooo satisfied tonight. Either choice for Norway will be great!
KEiiNO, KEiiNO, KEiiNO – Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssee!

Yeah if you speak something like Dutch and German it’s actually possible to understand haha
Yeah, unfortunately the show won’t be there. Nice to see Bernardo as a commenter on Youtube though.
Had you tried RTP internacional too? https://www.rtp.pt/play/direto/rtpinternacional It’s working here.
Come on KEiiNO!!
Aksel too
Aksel didn’t win?
He did not
Yeah, that’s why he didn’t defend his ticket as OP was saying
They were in 2019, not last year
Come on Keiino!
I really hope tix will win !!!
