Scroll down to vote in our poll.
“UGLY CRY”
The first of VICTORIA’s six potential Eurovision tracks was released in November 2020. “My message with ‘UGLY CRY’ is simple”, the singer says. “Everyone deserves respect”. Does it get your vote?
“Imaginary Friend”
The opening track from VICTORIA’s EP a little dramatic, “Imaginary Friend” is an emotional song about unrequited love. Could this be Bulgaria’s song for Rotterdam?
“Dive Into Unknown”
To take a risk even though you’re not sure where the path will lead you. That’s the message behind “Dive Into Unknown”. VICTORIA wrote this track at the Black Sea Songwriting Camp alongside Borislav Milanov of Symphonix International — the same team behind her Eurovision 2020 entry. Is “Dive Into Unknown” your favourite?
“Phantom Pain”
VICTORIA says “Phantom Pain” is one of her favourite tracks on her EP a little dramatic. The Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra assisted with the final arrangement of this song. Will “Phantom Pain” be Bulgaria’s Eurovision 2021 song?
“The Funeral Song”
Despite its macabre title, “The Funeral Song” is a rather playful track about learning to love yourself and celebrate life. It’s a message from VICTORIA to herself — to live in the moment and cherish yourself. Is it your favourite?
“Growing Up Is Getting Old”
The last of the six potential tracks to be released, “Growing Up Is Getting Old” sees VICTORIA go back to her roots and look with hope into the future. Does it get your vote?

Simple.
Ugly Cry = Winner!
I think Victoria had higher hopes with Tears getting sober, which was amazing.
The new songs sounds the same, except for Ugly Cry which stands out.
I also like Dive into Unknown because of its climax but the rest are good album fillers.
I love Victoria but… I have to be completely honest, some of the songs sounded quite similar to me. I do not know much about music, maybe its the arrangement or the lyrics (?) I am not sure! Still, the two I like the most were “Imaginary Friend” and “Dive Into Unknown”, I felt something different with them and I think they could do really well. There is something really special about her entire stage-persona! Good luck, Victoria! May the best song win the ticket to Eurovision! ^^
I’ve re-listened to these songs a bunch of times. My personal favourite is the Funeral Song BUT I don’t know how well it will translate on stage. My other two favourites are Imaginary Friends and Growing Up is Getting Old. I think both of those could work well on stage!
honestly i dont understand the hype with imaginary friend, it’s simple, correct, but just ok, the only song which have that magic vibes from tears getting sober is growing up is getting old
The last thing Europe wants this year is more depression, the only thing that these six boring songs deliver to the audience, sung by a wannabeBillieEilish artist with no original and authentic identity as an artist,in contrast with what Eurovision demands from the winner.Last year her entry was good, but this year I hardly try to remember the songs after an hour.Just disappointment.
Is there any difference between all her competing songs? In my opinion all of them are the same, they sound the same. Billie Eilish wannabe meets Lana Del Rey. Honey, there’s one one Billie, and there’s only one Lana. So sick and tired of copycats… This applies to Romania’s Roxen, too!
Except for ugly cry
All sounds same and bland. Last year was just an OK this year is just a big NO.
Where are the screaming sheep? I was promised screaming sheep!

Imaginary Friend feels grand and complete, and there is something iconic about it
She was my favourite last year but this is very disappointing for me
I think all the songs Victoria has this year are too depressing. She hasn’t read the room very well.
I love how Portugal national selection has millions of these lullaby type songs and the whole thing is written off as boring and slow…and Victoria brings similar and it’s billed as brilliant and modern
Maybe it’s the language barrier not existing? These songs have quite good lyrics, certainly for ESC standards and so listeners feel a sense of connection to the song even if the sound isn’t that dynamic.
I don’t disagree…but in that case, it’s shortsighted…does the contest need to revert to only featuring songs in English in order for people to find value in them…it’s like the English translations don’t exist for non-English songs from other national finals…I just find it amazing that we’ve had 6 videos from wiwi on for 1 artist (Victoria) songs and have not had 1 minute of footage on the Portuguese National Selection featuring 20 songs (not that I love 50% of FdC songs–but if what gets you going is soft voices, gentle ballads and introspective lyrics then FdC has that ad… Read more »
Just wondering why she cant decide on her own? Whats the point to choose the song that most people like on the end and later we will listen how she feels the song and its something she wants deom the begging.
But give her 12 points for PR activities on using platforms for promoting new album. Victoria knows she dont have winner song so this is great substitution.
“Imaginary Friend” and is not even close.
Ugly cry can win the whole thing. The rest will stay in semifinal. What are you talking about? Are you thinking like viewers at home?
The level of writing and artistry in the composition… far too much! I adore her and the people who surround her managed to prepare such a great EP. The songs are not in your face, but so intricate and well produced, I am not worried for her, whatever the chosen song is.
My favorites are Imaginary Friend and The Funeral Song but I love every song that I decided to click on all of them.
Can’t wait for her EP release on Spotify!!
Imaginary friend!
Now that I heard all the songs a lot, I can say that there’s 2 song that I really love:
1. Growing up is getting old – At first listening it wasn’t my favorite, but now it really grown a lot,
the lyrics are wonderful and transmits the feeling, Ican see this winning the contest (my opinion)
2. Dive into unknown – It’s similar to tears getting sober but not the same, this one keeps all the atmosphere and magic from the beginning til end.
Phantom Pain absolutely is not a good option…
Who cares? They all sound the same.
You could just take 30 seconds of each of them that nobody would notice it LOL.
Wow, what a wonderful artist. This is a fantastic showcase for her. There is great songwriting here all round. I don’t mind which one of these songs wins. The song that moves me the most is “Dive Into Unknown,” but that’s just a feeling. I also really like “Ugly Cry” and “Growing Up Is Getting Old.” It’s interesting that “Imaginary Friend” is winning this poll at the moment – this song has probably the strongest creative concept, but because I have never felt THAT lonely, I can’t relate to it as much.
My favorite is still the funeral song, but at this point I’ve recognized that it wouldn’t be the best choice. Imaginary friend is my second favorite though and seems to be very popular with everyone else and probably a good choice.
It’s got some good staging potential I think! If they made the stage seem a bit dreamlike and took the “imaginary friends” bit a bit more literal than that might make for an interesting performance
I think UGLY CRY is the best and could great at Eurovision. “Imaginary Friend” is the only other one I think will does well. Other other 4 songs (to me) doesn’t seem to go anywhere. VICTORIA has a good voice but it doesn’t have my range in the latter 4 songs
I voted for “Growing up is getting old”, a real gem.
Why are they copying Billie Eilish? The girl has a great voice, let her find her own thing.
I don’t think she’s copying Billie Eilish. VIctoria is a degree or 2 above mumbling so it’s defiantly different. It’s in the same style, but Victoria’s words are easier to hear than anything Eilish has put out
Dude look at her clothing even last year and hair colour all same as Billie. Girl needs to grow up and find herself.
I find it really unfair that people like you are comparing Billie and Victoria when there are literally singers out there that are in the indie pop, bedroom pop, alt pop, and antipop genre and a lot of them adopted the sad girl/sad boy image.
She should choose one of the more symphonic songs: Dive into unknown or Imaginary friend
I find both huntingly beautiful. But I will surely download all of them. Did we ever wittness such a stunning one-artist national final? All songs are just insanely good.
Victoria was one of the acts this year who I thought could potentially be a Eurovision winner but unfortunately none of her songs give me winner vibes.
GROWING UP IS GETTING OLD!!! So sad it’s so low in the poll sigh
I’ve voted for Phantom Pain, which is dead last in the poll 😀
the problem with her is that these song sound even more like Billie Eilish than last years entry, they are good songs but everything screams copy. the look, the voice, the style – everything
I prefer “Growing up is Getting Old” but I think they are all strong songs and any one of them would be a contender.
Eh, well Ugly Cry if I must choose something.
Dive into the unknown
Though my favorite is “Dive into the Unknown”, this poll is one more sign that “Imaginary Friend” maybe reaches a broader audience. My third option would be “Ugly Cry”, so poll’s top 3 is also mine. But I encourage Victoria to go with her gut. If she loves one of those much more than the other, she should go with it. If she has doubts, let the fandom help.
Victoria is so talented! However, i feel like most of the songs sound exactly the same… which is not good.
My preferences are Ugly Cry (it’s different and catchy) and Dive Into Unknown (love the change towards the end of the song).
I’m honestly surprised Growing Up is Getting Old is so low in this poll. I feel like it has the most emotional impact, has a fantastic orchestra behind it, and actually progresses somewhere in the song. Still, I love all of Victoria’s songs so I don’t really think there is a *wrong* choice, but I think Growing Up is Getting Old has the most potential.
Growing up is getting old is by far my favorite. The reason I think that it would fit the best at Eurovision is because out of all of them, I think it has the best climax with the choir background and it has very meaningful and relatable lyrics. With the correct staging, this could easily be top 10 or even top 5. It also reminds me of Tears Getting Sober, but not in a bad way, since it was easily a crowd and jury favorite from last year. Imaginary friend I would say is a crowd favorite, but I personally… Read more »
I don’t get Imaginary friend. It’s the least ambitious and daring of the bunch. If she pays too much attention to the fandom she’ll end up with the most uneventuful track in the selection.
People are sleeping on “Growing up is getting old”. By far the I like the most.
its perhaps too elevated for most people to grab. Would also be my choise.
I can’t comment on the melody but it’s lyrics are most jarring. ” Nervous system” , “anxiety ” , ” tetris”
Ugly Cry all the way.
Ugly Cry or Dive Into Unknown.
I also like Growing Up is Getting Old, but I don’t think that would stand as much.
Ugly CRY!
Phantom Pain sonically sounds the best to me.. Could stage this amazingly using the concept of the video..
after relistening a few times my list has changed 1) growing up is getting old (relatable lyrics, best message) 2) imaginary friend (most likely to do well at eurovision, catchiest) 3) dive into unknown (my style of music, would look great on stage) 4) ugly cry (grew off of me a bit but very catchy and mainstream) 5) funeral song (too repetitive for me but i still enjoy it) 6) phantom pain (the only one i dont really like. it sounds like bad guy by billie eilish, a little too pretentious to do well at eurovision) realistically i think it’s… Read more »
I listened to all of them yesterday, and to me I thought that The Funeral Song was the most interesting. It’s a bit difficult because I thought most of them were a bit similar, but this particular one had some elements I really liked.
opinion may change after a few more listens, though
Honestly I felt the same way after re-listening to the songs this morning. I don’t know how it would translate on a eurovision stage but I find it the most compelling, at least in its recorded form.
Imaginary friend… yes!!!
Why? It has an emotional connection with people of all ages. At the end of the day, audiences of different ages cast their vote…
I couldn’t have said it better
none, let Poli save Bulgaria.
or kristian kostov
Bulgaria should send Valentina Hassan. She’s the Ken Lee lady. She’s Bulgarian.
I like all of them but the overall style between all of them is so similar that its somewhat hard to differentiate between them at a first listen, so I still don’t know which I like best. I do enjoy Ugly Cry but its also been out the longest, so I’ve heard it the most. I’ll have to re-listen to all of those before I decide on a personal favourite.
