It’s the national selection that’s never afraid to be eclectic. And on Saturday 27 February, Portugal’s Festival da Canção 2021 continues with its second semi-final. Local fans can watch by switching their televisions to RTP1. International viewers will need to watch online.

The show will be live-streamed on RTP’s website. The series will continue with the grand final next Saturday.

The first semi-final will be presented by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Carlos Malato. It will see ten acts perform, but only five will qualify for the final. A 50/50 voting system will determine the results. A single jury and the public televote will decide which songs will advance to the final. In case of a tie, the professional jury will decide which ones advance. The ten contenders in semi-final two are:

- Ariana “Mundo melhor”
- EU.CLIDES “VOLTE-FACE”
- Joana Alegre “Joana do mar”
- Pedro Gonçalves “Não vou ficar”

- Carolina Deslandes “Por um triz”
- Graciela “A vida sem acontecer”
- NEEV “Dancing in the Stars”

Without collisions. Without going through hoops while commenting on NFs I did see while trying to avoid spoilers of those I yet did not. Wow, a calm Saturday indeed. Can’t wait.
