Semi-final four of Melodifestivalen 2021 takes place this evening. Seven acts will perform with the hopes of snatching one of the four places that allow them to advance in the competition. If it were up to you, The Mamas and Eric Saade  would be going away victorious.

The top two of tonight’s semi-final will head direct to the grand final, with the next pair getting passes to andra chansen (second chance).

You read the media reviews, listened to the audio snippets and watched the rehearsal clips. We asked you to vote for your favourites and you made your voices heard. Now, vi har ett resultat!

The Mamas are your favourite to win semi-final 4 of Melodifestivalen 2021

After counting a total of 1,857 votes, we can reveal that The Mamas and Eric Saade are your favourites to take the top two spots in the semi-final and go direkt till final.

In first place are reigning Melodifestivalen champions The Mamas. Their song “In The Middle” picked up 725 votes, which is 39.04% of the vote. After being unable to perform at Eurovision 2020 following the contest’s cancellation, many would like to see the trio be given the chance to compete again this year. For now, their aim is to make it to the Melfest 2021 final, and it seems that many of y’all think they stand a good chance of securing one of the final two spots that will take them straight there.

Second place in this poll goes to Eric Saade. This is the Eurovision 2011 bronze medallist’s fourth appearance at Melodifestivalen and you are backing him to go dirket till final once again. His entry “Every Minute” received 544 votes (29.29% of the total).

Securing your two spots in andra chansen are Tess Merkel and Clara Klingenström.

Tess Merkel makes her solo Melfest debut this year, having previously competed as a part of Alcazar. Her entry “Good Life” has made enough of a positive impression on you that you’d like to see it again in andra chansen. Tess was awarded 178 votes (9.59%).

The battle for your final place in andra chansen was relatively close. But in the end, it was Clara Klingenström that secured it with her song “Behöver inte dig idag” (Don’t neeed you today). The singer earned 146 votes (7.86%).

Unfortunately, that means the other three acts would be sent home if the results were up to you.

Just missing out in fifth position is Lovad. The Melodifestivalen debutant has been bubbling under with a reasonable amount of support, but sadly wouldn’t make it through based on these results. Her entry “Allting är precis likadant” scored 128 votes (6.89%).

Efraim Leo finishes in sixth place. He’s set to deliver the upbeat song “Best of Me”. However, it seems y’all don’t think his best is good enough to make it any further in the competition. Efraim picked up 95 votes (5.12%).

Rounding this poll off are dansband Sannex. They’re hoping the support for their entry will be “All Inclusive” across the Swedish population, but they sadly didn’t receive that from you. The band earned 41 votes (2.21%)

Poll results: Who should win semi-final 4 of Melodifestivalen 2021?

  1. The Mamas – “In the Middle” – 39.04%  (725 votes)
  2. Eric Saade – “Every Minute” – 29.29%  (544 votes)
  3. Tess Merkel – “Good Life” – 9.59%  (178 votes)
  4. Clara Klingenström – “Behöver inte dig idag” – 7.86%  (146 votes)
  5. Lovad – “Allting är precis likadant” – 6.89%  (128 votes)
  6. Efraim Leo – “Best of Me” – 5.12%  (95 votes)
  7. Sannex – “All Inclusive” – 2.21%  (41 votes)

Total Votes: 1,857

My clear favorites are Tess and Eric Saade, but i am sure it will be Eric and the Mamas, which is my 3rd in this semi, to go straight to the final. My 4th is “The Best of Me” – the Clara song and that ballad is just really boring…

And that “All inclusive” – song must be the absolute worst song ever to compete in Melodifestivalen!!!! Its absolutely aweful.

I will be very surprised if The Mamas go straight to the final. Their song seems very weak to me.

Yeah, the Mamas are very mediocre, not even close to the middle.

Will all songs be out tonight after the semi final, and when will the running order be announced?

Songs will be out after the semi final, probably tonight or tomorrow.
Running order is determined right after the Second Chance round is over (at least that’s what happened last year, as far as I can remember).

From I learned, The andra chansen duels are assigned so that no two songs from the same semifinal or in the same place are up against each other.

Eric Saade is very talented and easy on the eye, so YES please.

Talented? His vocals are terrible. And brining his looks into it is wrong for a song contest.
