The bombardment is about to begin. In the space of about one and a half weeks, we’re set to get 27 of the entries for Eurovision 2021. Six are confirmed to come before the weekend, while four national finals take place on Saturday. But before we go headfirst into the madness, let’s check in on the results of our most recent “who is your favourite Eurovision 2021 act so far?” survey. And after losing out to Finland’s Blind Channel last time, we can confirm that Croatia’s Albina is back on top.

Poll results: Albina is your favourite Eurovision 2021 act so far (3 March)

Since Sunday, 11,953 votes were cast in our poll. Of these, 2,173 votes went to Albina. The “Tick-Tock” songstress took 18.18% of all votes cast in the same week as she released her official music video.

Cyprus debuts at two, making it the highest-ranking newcomer in our poll. Elena Tsagrinou may have ruffled the feathers of both Zara Larsson and Christian groups, but our readers are bowing down at the altar of “El Diablo”. The Greek-born popstar took 1,548 votes or 12.95% of all votes cast.

After several weeks following in the shadow of The Roop, France’s Barbara Pravi leapfrogs the Lithuanian band to take third place. The “Voila” chanteuse garnered 1,301 votes or 10.88% of all votes cast.

Lithuania’s The Roop and Finland’s Blind Channel complete the top five. Thankfully, this isn’t a battle royale. All fourteen acts will return to the ring once again when we relaunch the poll after Romania, Belgium, Moldova, The Netherlands, Australia, Serbia, Denmark, Estonia, Portugal and Italy reveal their songs.

The song is good, I can agree with you. I like Albania and new version. People said that Croatia is overrated…so funny… right now on odds its at 26 positions while Norway for example is 13th. Would you say that Norway is so much better then Croatia? Double better?? Its not and by my opinion it should be different… and if we talking about overrated (and simple dont like that word) is Cyprus. Its silly that some countries what ever send to Eurovision its wow. Come on, you can hype the Norway or Cyprus and ok that might pass hr… Read more »

It’s not like odds are trying to predict the ranking though. If Croatia is low it’s because not many people betted on it to win.

Croatia is overrated
Albania is the only country who’s unpredictable
Cyprus depends on live performance
France is kinda overrated

Overrated…overrated. How on earth beautiful song of France you can call overrated and megamix of Lady Gaga’s Cyprus only depends on live performance but you think its great.
France do not depends on live performance so it cant be overrated becasue its strong competitor. And for Cyprus we have video only and no chance it can elevated a live as it doesnt have the vibe. Lets remember Replay. Copypaste is always copypaste.

Hating on every single upbeat pop song doesn’t make you have a better music taste. If you remotely think Replay is the same as El Diablo then you must have heard different songs. If you actually think Voila is this amazingly new song that hasn’t been done before then you’re just lying to yourself.

I dont think that Replay its the same as El Diablo or that Voila is something we never heared before. I was just making comment on that of course all depends on live perfromonce. Replay is great as video as much as El Diablo, and results of Replay told us that rare song like that can elevated – Fuego is the example. But or Replay or El diblo is too far from Fuego- not because Fuego is better song, but charisma of the prsenetee you can not practice- either you have or not. In that conetext Voila have it –… Read more »

When I look at the results, there’s nothing left then feeling sorry for Eden. After Anxhelika released her revamp, it’s pretty clear who of those 14 acts will be at the very bottom in the next poll, if there’s no weaker song to join them. She definetely deserves better, it’s such a shame…

She is and last year was a different story. I like to listen to “Set Me Free” but it’s overall not strong enough and mediocre, which is not a bad thing but it’s the last thing a song should be in this competition, especially this year after everyone had more time to prepare. But I still feel sorry for her.

Agree. Generic, repetative lyrics, ok production overall. The highlight of the song for me is when she switches to Croatian. And that’s kinda it :/

Side note: apparently, there’s a shortlist of acts for the Russian NF. They (supposedly) include: #2???? Anton Belyaev Niletto MORGENSTERN Egor Kreed Rumor has it Little Big may or may not take part because Channel 1 didn’t like any of the songs they offered (and it isn’t as though they didn’t like their style to begin with, seeing as they got picked last year), but I don’t know. I believe MORGENSTERN is the biggest name here and has said previously that he’s interested in doing Eurovision. I also know very little about the Russian music industry (except that it’s a… Read more »

Well the truth is that while not many people have Croatia as their #1, I’ve seen most people having it in their top 10. French entry is the best imo, but people mostly have it either in their top 3 or in their bottom 3, because it’s more love or hate it song, and same goes for Lithuania and Ukraine. Tick-Tock is a song that has a broader appeal, that’s all.
