Italy’s iconic Sanremo Music Festival 2021 ends its five night run tonight. Local fans can catch the festival by switching their televisions to RAI 1 while international viewers can watch online.
Here’s when and how you can watch Sanremo online.

Fifth evening: The final | Quinta serata: Finale — Saturday 6 March
Time: 20:45 CET to 01:30 CET (approximate end time)
RAI will stream the Sanremo final on RAIPlay.
Typically, the on-demand player is geo-blocked for viewers outside Italy. However, RAI usually lifts restrictions during the live shows.
All performances are uploaded to YouTube immediately after the broadcast. Alas, RAI usually removes them shortly after the last night of the Festival.
Based on the first four nights of competition, the provisional rankings heading into the last show are:
- Ermal Meta
- Willie Peyote
- La Rappresentante di Lista
- Colapesce Dimartino
- Malika Ayane
- Lo Stato Sociale
- Orietta Berti
- Extraliscio feat. Davide Toffolo
- Max Gazzè
- Francesca Michielin & Fedez
- Francesco Renga
- Gio Evan
Of course, all of this can still change. The final result will be decided by a mixture of the press jury, the public televote and the demoscopic jury. After an initial vote, the final rankings for 26th to fourth place will be known. A new vote will then open for the final three acts.
Unlike other Eurovision-related festivals, the winner will not necessarily be the act that goes to the song contest. Before the contest, acts are required to tell the broadcaster whether they would be willing to represent Italy at Eurovision or not. If the Sanremo winner has agreed to do Eurovision, they’ll get the ticket to Rotterdam. If not, RAI will internally select one of the other competitors.
