Fyr & Flamme parody Eurovision YouTube reactors
With the rise of YouTube has come the rise of Eurovision reaction videos. Everyone and their dog wants to give an opinion on the songs competing in the contest. Now Denmark’s act Fyr & Flamme have recorded their own reaction video – to themselves. The duo create a parody channel called Utopia and pretend to react to their national final performance from Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. Unable to speak Danish or pronounce the song’s title, they discuss the track’s retro sound and the performance’s bright colours and costuming. In the end, Carsten and Jukka from Utopia believe that Denmark will sadly not qualify from their semi-final in May. (Jonathan)

Blind Channel and The Roop take over Eurovision social media
Stars from Finland and Lithuania took over the official Eurovision Instagram account this weekend. Blind Channel streamed a live question and answer session from a quiet socially-distanced bar, taking shots and serving up good times. Meanwhile, The Roop shared some of their Easter weekend activities. Vaidotas revealed his favourite Eurovision song ever as Salvador Sobral’s “Amar pelos dois”, and explained the origins behind the band’s name: “Roop” is an old English word meaning to scream or cry out loud. Tusse makes the cover of QX…refuses to be labelled
Tusse is the cover star for this month’s QX, Sweden’s largest LGBTQ+ magazine. The inside interview touches on his Melfest victory and the story of how he fled the Congo as a child. The singer is known for experimenting with gender norms, most notably wearing nail polish during his performances. But despite the interviewer’s best attempts, Tusse won’t be drawn on his sexual identity. “I have always seen personality before gender. Personally, I’m a little wary of putting labels on others”, he says. “Also because I myself am not so fond of others putting labels on me. There is a freedom in that everyone should be allowed to be who they are and be seen for just that. And in the same way, I want to be seen for who I am. I’m simply Tusse”.

Barbara Pravi performs “Voilà” on Spanish television
Following Gjon’s Tears, Barbara Pravi has also travelled to Spain to perform her song live on Telecinco. Like “Tout l’univers”, Barabara’s song “Voilà” is being used on the popular Spanish documentary series Rocío, contar la verdad para seguir viva. Barbara performed the song standing alone on stage, with graphics showing scenes from the series along with Spanish translations of key lyrics. The Spanish exposure is having an impact — “Voilà” is currently No.1 in Spain’s Viral 50 chart on Spotify. Watch Barbara’s live “Voilà” performance at Telecinco. (Robyn)

What do you think of Barbara’s live performance in Spain? Would you subscribe to Fyr & Flamme’s reaction channel? Let us know in the comments.
Maneskin are fantastic, Barbara is also brilliant. My favorites, wanna see them in TOP 2. Cannot decide who I want to win more. Maybe, leaning a little bit more to Italy just because they desreve it for a so long time.
Am tired of potential LGBT role models being like “no labels”
My sexuality isn’t a label, it’s a part of my identity
Very that.
I thought the same, but it’s unfair for us to expect a teenager to answer to a magazine, especially if he hasn’t even figured out the answer for himself yet.
On the other hand you could ask why is labelling so important for some? As soon as someone who is a bit fluid comes along people must go on and on asking and wondering “gay, bi”, pan, trans” Like does it matter? Why is that an issue to you? Sexuality is private, not something other people use to define you.
Deffo agree, labels can help with finding yourself/understanding your identity better or just finally have that moment of “Oh that’s what it is! And there are people out there just like me!” BUT it’s also not necessary to set strict lines on identities and which words/labels people use to describe themselves. Like, I thought the point was to break out from restrictive roles and labels decided for you by others. That’s my view anyway.
Fyr och flamme are hilarious (it’s sad I don’t like their song :-/)
And that same face expression from Barbara.. boring.
I can’t deal with these comments sometimes. Ridiculous.
You are so right ! Next time she should wear a red clown nose , smile the whole time, make funny faces and then do pole dance.
This would totally fit with the lyrics and the message of her song…
By the way if you do not like someone’s face expression, why do you take time to look at it ?
d
What is she supposed to do lmaoooo as if Duncan Laurence had many different facial expression during all the Arcade lives. Pathetic comment.
Why this swedish gurl spread her hatred on everything except on what is from Sweden, I can’t….
Fyr og Flamme are hilarious, I definitely have a soft spot for them. They don’t take themselves so seriously, which is such a breath of fresh air in this day and age. I love their whole package. They have a catchy, light-hearted fun tune and they seem like fun, down-to-earth guys as well. They’ll be getting my vote.
Måneskin Italy one love !!!
ITALY 2021 ESC WINNER !
I wouldn’t mind if it happen. You deserve this victory.
Eurovision-related news…
….and Victoria goes to the beach.
I can see the Audience who voted for Amar pelos dois can absolutely vote for Voila !
I’m not a fan of the song but I love her accent , lol !
Even though Voilà is a beautiful song and Barabara a good singer, there is not this magical atmosphere that was there with Salvador in 2017. He was just out of this world.
I’m not a music conosieur. I don’t personally like either of the two songs much. To my ears they sound catering to the same audience . Except Voila sounds more closer to 2021 than Portugal was to 2017. Maybe that’s where Portugal’s charm was or maybe the charm was in the song. I definitely see it as a contender to win .
No magical atmosphere…. that’s exactly what she creates each time she performs and she’s better and better each times.
The eurofans have definetely a problem with this song, but this song is mainly made to be more successful outside this bubble.
In relation to tusse As the wise Katya zamolodkiova once said “Where my pansexuals at? Just one ok”
Love France and Denmark!!!!!
That Fyr Flamme video was kinda funny, but also a bit too ironic. After all, these reaction videos are promoting their work, they should be a bit mooore respectful, they made it seem like they thing everyone doing reactions is a bit stupid.
LOL The reaction videos are not promoting their work, they are promoting the people who do them.
Actually, they promote both.
Barbara was just wonderful – the performance, the gesture of learning a couple of lines from a Spanish song, her meeting Blas… She keeps growing on me more and more everyday, can’t wait to see her at the PrePartyES.
Could someone explain me the down votes?
Why the downvotes??
Boycott France for their racism!
Sure Barbara a french having Serbian, Iranian and Polish roots shows very well the big racism of France….
This is a song contest daim
What does Barbara have to do with political decisions made in her country …
grft, what political decisions are you talking about anyway? We have the most anti-racist gouvernement we could have…
I think what Lujxk might be touching on is the over application of the concept of “laicete” to bear down on Muslim communities (banning the hijab in schools/outlawing the sale of halal chicken) as well as the general racism that most countries internationally perpetuate.
France certainly isn’t the most racist country participating and political boycotts of entire nations aren’t the best thing to pursue just because any country would probably qualify for violations of human rights and equality, but I would not call the French government an anti racist government either.
I think Lujxk was referring to the recent ban for all hijabi mothers to attend school meetings / for all girls under 18 to wear a hijab. Which is, let’s be honest, not the most anti-racist policy to exist. It is not welcomed warmly outside of France. And not so well inside of France either as I’ve understood.
It’s funny how XXI century gave us people obsessed with boycotting something. The more I see cancel culture, the more I’m sure that it’s just another way of validation.
Cancel culture has always existed since civilisation did, the only difference now is that the powerful in society can be cancelled too. I mean, the Inquisitions of the 16th century represent states and elements of the Catholic Church trying to cancel Protestants and Jews, sometimes from existence in the most extreme cases.
Victoria would like to go to perform in Spain too now… I don’t know what to think about that but let’s see what will happen, the pre contest is on fire in Spain.
Notice how Tusse’s nail polish had the colours of Swedish flag painted on them? That’s cool..
Also where can you get that suit? Asking for a friend..
Barbara also met Blas Canto this morning, they shared pictures!
Beautiful Barbara Pravi, Amazing live performance !
Will France be the Portugal of 2017? I wouldn’t mind. And on a different note, you just got to love Fyr & Flamme! 🙂
I like Denmark !
Me too 😉
Like why aren’t people doing this comparison ?
Apparently Je me Casse “is ” Toy
And Tout L’Univers “is” Arcade
Why isn’t Voila = Amar Pelos dois ?
Why isn’t Zitti e buoni = Hard rock hallelujah
If you start looking for similarities you’d find them , but none of them comparisons make the song same. They are all distinctly different and if anything being compared to a winning song can only be a compliment.
In my ears they are not very original because of these similaries. And that is what everyone is screaming for at this site. It must be so original all the time.. And here we have at least three songs that sound like a former winner. If it’s the message or the sound. However Måneskin does not remind me of Lordi.
« Why aren’t people doing this comparison »……. I mean… people ARE doing this comparison… including you
I said , people are specifically comparing the songs of Malta and Switzerland to Former winners.
And Je me Casse doens’t even come close to Toy for me, lol
But some of those same people are calling Voila original. I’m calling out the hypocrisy of the thing. If they are copies , then call them a copy. If they are reminding you of something good , call it a quality . None of the songs are copies .
