TIX reflects on his career in NRK documentary

Norwegian broadcaster NRK has released a documentary looking at TIX’s music career. The “Fallen Angel” singer watches a number of clips, with highlights from his music career and special messages from people including his old school music teacher, Norway’s Minister of Health and American popstress Ava Max. TIX also talks about how he considered withdrawing from Melodi Grand Prix 2021 after “Ut av mørket” was badly received by Norwegian music reviewers. Watch out for the cameo appearance of TIX’s cat Findus! The show is in Norwegian, but you can make English subtitles by turning on Norwegian subtitles and translating to English in your browser. Watch TIX at NRK. (Robyn)

TIX nominated for Norway’s Song of the Year — twice

It’s been a big year for TIX and it’s getting even bigger. The Norwegian singer-songwriter has two songs nominated for Song of the Year at Norway’s Spellemannprisen music awards. TIX’s Paradise Hotel theme “Kaller På Deg” and quarantine song “Karantene” have both been nominated. The winner is decided by public vote so TIX is urging his fans to only vote for “Karantene”. He says the uplifting song “has had a real impact on our society. It is a song that has helped people and put into words a common feeling the whole Norwegian people have been with.” (Robyn)

Last week, Polish Eurovision star Rafał posted to his Instagram story inviting San Marino’s Senhit to collaborate. And now, the Italian-born superstar seems to be taking him up on the offer. Well children are very advanced these days they even have a 3 to 9 year old voting category in Sweden. I could ask my 4-year old nephew for his view on “Karma”? I have a premonition that I will be voting for it myself.

Maybe she does, but in chorus it sounds as if she struggled a lot with high note. Maybe it’s not supposed to be a high note to begin with, idk, but that’s the impression I get and it’s pretty bad if you’re taking a part in competetion.

It’s currently not predicted to qualify!
It is in my qualifiers but I see most people not agreeing

Only the jury can help now.

I hope it can pull through, it is Australia after all

I don’t know, technicolor does not seem to be a very jury friendly song, which could hurt Australia. Australia’s televote popularity has been declining over the years, and if even the jury won’t back technicolor, Australia could be out for the very first time. I’m not completely pessimist that Australia will be out, but I do think it is a little more vulnerable this year. Maybe Montaigne pull through, but if her vocals are patchy in semi final one, and if this song does not appeal to the jury, g’bye Australia.

Squeek teen and drunk auntie qualified, so I’d be shocked if Montaigne with better song failed to qualify.

Let’s hope that the staging will not be messy, just like ”Don’t break me”. Cause she has potential even though right now the predictions have her more likely out
