As we all know, Eurovision 2020 was sadly cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But thankfully, a massive 26 artists have been given the opportunity to return and represent their countries at Eurovision 2021. But as per the standard Eurovision rules, they’ve all got new songs.
It’s natural that there will be comparisons to their previous entries. So, we want to know — do you prefer the returning artists’ 2020 or 2021 songs?
Today, we’re saying zdravo and shining a light on Serbia. In 2020, Hurricane were set to take “Hasta La Vista” to Rotterdam. This year, they’ll be singing “Loco Loco” at Eurovision 2021. But which song is your favourite? Vote in our poll now!
Scroll down to vote in our poll.
“Hasta La Vista” (Serbia 2020)
Hurricane – that’s Sanja Vučić, Ivana Nikolić and Ksenija Knežević – were first chosen to represent Serbia at Eurovision last year after winning Beovizija 2020. Their song, “Hasta La Vista”, was a dynamic track that combined dance-pop, R&B and a bit of Balkan flair.
The Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of music unprofessionals — awarded “Hasta La Vista” a score of 6.43/10. Wiwiblogger William had this to say about the song in his review:
“The Weather Channel is not ready for this Hurricane! Sanja, Ivana, and Ksenija are stand-out vocalists on their own. Put them together and it’s time to issue a warning. This is loud. This is sexy. This is FIRE! As intoxicating as those Sirens from Greek myth, this Serbian threesome unleash a wall of sound, harmony and sass that speeds by as fast as a hipster after a slice of avocado on toast. These ladies stomp so hard — and bend and snap and twerk — that it’s no surprise they’re wearing shattered glass. But trust: this ain’t broken. Put it all together and you have the dance banger of the year.”
“Loco Loco” (Serbia 2021)
Serbian broadcaster RTS internally selected Hurricane to return for Eurovision 2021. This year, they’re going crazy with the song “Loco Loco”.
Despite using another Spanish song title, the majority of the full-force banger is once again in Serbian. Lyrically, Hurricane encourage women to be brave and make the first move towards someone that’s caught their eye.
Poll battle — Serbia: Which Hurricane entry do you prefer?
In this poll, you can only vote for one song and you can only vote once – so make it count. Let the battle commence!

Which of Hurricane’s Eurovision songs did you vote for? Are you Team “Hasta La Vista” or Team “Loco Loco”? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments down below!
Neither. Trash can be fun, but this trash is just trash.
Ehmmm….you forgot to mention sexism, racism, fascism, naomism, Lmaoism and panphobism…
Loco loco is the best trashy esc of Serbia the last 20 years.
Neither..
Last place for both.
Wow, that’s gonna be close. I feel like Hasta La Vista has so much more energy BUT Loco Loco is 1. catchier 2. less generic 3. cuter
I think it fits Hurricane more while Hasta La Vista was more of a “yAs QuEeN” song and less melodic
How can you compare minus infinity to minus infinity?
Mathematically speaking, you can still make comparisons between ‘infinities’ as not all infinities are of the same size. 😉
I know, I thought in terms of both “infinity minus infinity” and “infinity over infinity” being indeterminate forms. This is definitely not minus aleph zero, this is minus c 😀
No worry, Milan. Neither of these songs are my cup of tea either. I still think that Loco Loco is a bit more coherent one. Lyrics, while certainly not Shakespearean, at least make total sense.
Thanks. Actually, this is so far the entry that best reflects what young generations in Serbia actually listen to, and in that sense, it is quite probably the “most sincere” Serbian entry in a while. Yes, the lyrics make total sense, and even the music is bearable – but the amount of plastic is just frightening.
Loco Loco has the energy of a bowl of nuddles. It’s a mess and you can’t really tell what’s what, and as a whole it’s dull. Seems like a downgrade
i like loco loco but the ‘slum slum slum lum lum lum’ lines are a bit much to swallow and seriously ruin the flow of the song. i think i still prefer it to hasta la visa but only barely
sam sam sam znam znam znam lom lom lom** my bad
They’re around the same level for me. Both songs are kinda similar and a little bit messy, but still bops regardless. I don’t really have a strong favorite.
They’ll qualify for sure, but I don’t think they’ll do well in the final. There’s no continuous beat to clap along to, it’s literally sounds like someone left their blender and lawnmower on at the same time in some parts.
Loco Loco is messier . Hasta la vista had atLeast some parts I could sing along
They will flop during the semi-final.
I think it will have some kind of a public success, but will be a jury flop.
It cant be a jury flop when we all know juries are going to hate it from the beginning 😛
So, you think it’s already a flop with the juries ? ;p
Hasta La Vista and Loco Loco seem outdated, but I’ll go with this year’s effort.
I don’t really like either of the two, since it’s not the type/genre of music I listen to, but I’d still say “Loco Loco” is an improvement over their last year’s entry.
Loco loco
Shelter or Adio, for me.
Adio was not even a Serbian entry.
It was being sung by Ksenija
yes, yes, Adio was Ksenija’s strongest contribution 🙂 wouldn’t mind having her back one day as a solo artist with a similar styled song, like her father’s “Adio”
I don ‘t like any of their songs. For me both songs are horrible
Loco Loco is far more danceable and has a better stage potential. So Serbia, please don’t mess it up and I can see it quite high in the final (I guess this will be the Cyprus2018-surprise at the rehearsal).
Lol
Both equally dreadful! Eurovison at its worst!
Prepare to be destroyed by the silicone stans.
I don’t get it, why did you came here to put negative comment if you don’t like the song? Really? In my case, if I don’t like the song, I am not listening it, and I am not putting negative comments down bellow.
Because comments aren’t only made to praise things. Negative feedback – if constructive – is as valuable as positive.
What’s constructive in this comment?
In the comment ya discuss nothing is , but if u want negative feedback in a calmer way, here you are.
1). Lyrics of both songs are bad.
2). Promoting this tracks as feminist one was stupid way to get points.
3). The tune is messy.
4). I can’t see any emprowement since last year.
*these. Sorry for mistake in the first comment.
You have the option to edit the comments whenever you want!
1) I agree that the lyrics aren’t that deep, but I don’t actually remember any bop that has meaningful lyrics.
2) Sanja has said that one should not analyze the song and look for hidden messages, because there aren’t such. Therefore, the song is not feminist.
3) The tune does sound messy, but it’s a hurricane xD
4) Really? I got bored from Hasta La Vista very soon after they released it! However, I’ve been enjoying the ‘Loco loco’ quite a bit. It’s more radio friendly and accessible.
I actually like both, but I prefer Hasta La Vista a bit more.
