Elena Tsagrinou El Diablo Cyprus Eurovision 2021

We’re in the thick of it now! It is day ten of the annual Eurovision OGAE Poll 2021, with more results coming in from OGAE Malta. They award their douze points to Cyprus’s Elena Tsagrinou who comes in at sixth place overall with 57 points.

In second place with the Maltese club’s 37 voters, with ten points is San Marino’s Senhit and Flo Rida. Picking up bronze with eight points, is France’s Barbara Pravi who closes the gap on Switzerland in the top spot. Though his lead is shortening, Gjon’s Tears still managed to pick up six points and now has 92 points overall.

Steadily climbing their way up, is Israel’s Eden Alene who picked up four points and jumps from 19th to 16th place. Norway’s TIX also picked up a couple of points and hopped one place up to joint 20th place alongside Bulgaria’s Victoria, who also grabbed a point with the Maltese OGAE.

OGAE Poll 2021

Votes from OGAE Malta

  •  Cyprus – 12 points
  • San Marino – 10 points
  • France – 8 points
  • Sweden – 7 points
  • Switzerland – 6 points
  • Azerbaijan – 5 points
  • Israel – 4 points
  • Lithuania – 3 points
  • Norway – 2 points
  • Bulgaria – 1 point

OGAE Poll 2021 leaderboard — 22 April

Though Switzerland is nearly approaching 100 points, Gjon’s Tears’ lead at the summit is slipping. There is now a 17 point difference between him and second-placed France. Leaping onto the podium in third place is Lithuania’s The Roop with 65 points. San Marino climbs to joint fourth alongside Malta who drop down a place. They, of course, could not vote for themselves.

Though we have reached the first ten OGAE groups, there is still a long way to go and anything can change!

1. Switzerland — 92 points

2. France – 75 points

3. Lithuania – 65 points

4. San Marino – 62 points

(=) Malta – 62 points

6. Cyprus – 57 points

7. Sweden – 28 points

8. Azerbaijan – 26 points

(=) Italy – 26 points

10. Ukraine — 14 points

11. Croatia — 13 points

12. Iceland — 10 points

13. Finland — 8 points

(=) Serbia — 8 points

15. Romania — 7 points

16. Israel— 6 points

17. Greece – 5 points

(=) Denmark – 5 points

19. Estonia — 4 points

20. Bulgaria – 3 points

(=) Norway — 3 points

22. Russia — 1 point

Countries that are not listed are yet to receive points from any voting clubs.

Between now and Sunday 2 May, half of the groups voting in the OGAE Poll 2021 will reveal their points one by one. Then, the remaining groups will announce their points at the same time on Friday 7 May in a grand final video spectacle.

Will anybody overtake Switzerland? Who will win the OGAE Poll 2021? Let us know in the comments below.

OGAE members are so professional, that they alone should decide, who wins Eurovision. No televote and jury needed.

The OGAE members have a rather… singular taste. If the were the only ones to decide, the contest would quickly become exclusively Swedish written uptempo songs.
Yeah, I know there several examples to the contrary but the overall leaning of the fandom is towards one particular musical genre, and the competition needs to have a certain level of diversity in order to maintain its broad appeal.

y’all look at the official excel table with all the votes revealed… it also says how many club members voted per country at the top. these ogay clubs are DYING. the maxinum so far has been 73 ppl from germany, the average is 31 fans per country so far. y’all give this ogae poll too much importance lmfao 31 ppl isn’t even a statistically relevant number !!!

It annoys me when artists try to give to a song a deeper meaning that it has.
The song is about giving in to a man that doesnt act right all the time but owns a devilish charm. Where in the song she gets off the relationship? Shes singing the same lyrics at the end. Everyone wants to give to their song a feminist message nowdays… Sing your sexy song and go lolita <3

“I Love Belarus” – Anastasiya Vinnikova 2011. It wasn’t about a dictator but about a dictatorship (which is the same). And the song was chosen by the dictator himself…

It’s funny you say this while your name is a song with the most generic lyrics ever. Constantly singing about ending their relationship and because for one line she says “This isn’t our last dance” suddenly the song turns into this uplifting and hopeful message? So would it be enough for you if Elena was saying in the last chorus “I *didn’t* give my heart to el diablo”? Esc fans are so funny sometimes preaching about things they overlook in their faves. Just say you’re salty they got the 12 and go lol.

I didnt say Last Dance is a lyrical masterpiece, but Stefania isnt going around saying it has a feministic message while it doesnt, lol. Not salty at all, I love El Diablo, but for what it is, and not for what Elena and some fans like you make it out to be. Just go lol

Ballad doesn’t mean quality, but The Wrong Place is actually a quality piece of music and it is not even a ballad by the way. El Diablo is just a normal dance track, heavily influenced by Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance and with a videoclip copied by Zara Larsson, probably the most overrated one by Eurofans (and that says it all): 0 originality, 0 emotions, 100% manufactured Swedish creation. Fans love to complain about Swedish songs, but the worst ones are the songs Sweden gives to other countries…

I am Belgian and I am not worried about Hooverphonic. This kind of artist and this kind of song really come into their own when they play live. Geike’s professionalism and always excellent interpretation will score a lot of points. On the other hand, other countries that are already seen as qualifiers may be in danger. And I am thinking in particular of Azerbaijan. That said, I am not a music expert. It is not for me to decide who deserves to succeed or not. I’m just implying that if the juries are straight in their boots, they will know… Read more »

Friend, first of all, when a song gets that much hate, means that actually this is a really good one and because someone pathetic supports another good song so much that he spreads hate for the other songs so that he feels that his song is the favourite of everyone. When a song isn’t liked that much, usually they don’t give a damn about that, they ignore it actually. For example, do you see people talking that much about Estonia, Denmark, Spain , Slovenia, Portugal, Austria or North Macedonia? For who they talk about the most? Malta, Switzerland, France, Malta,… Read more »

Netta always had the best song of the year, and that was obvious in both jury and televote results (apart from the semi results, when Eleni surprised all of us with her performance). Fuego as a song is kinda cheesy and Eleni has many many better songs than this one on her alumini. She only finished 2nd because she transformed with her performance an average song to an Eurovision anthem

I don’t see the comparison to Bad Romance and El Diablo only that they’re both pop-dance tracks, and I’m pretty sure Lady Gaga can’t claim the whole pop-dance genre for herself, she’s iconic but there’s a line lol ?

No but the odds reflects the popularity of the songs so you would imagine that the songs closer to the top would get the most points. Its like in 2017 when everyone was sneering that the jurors in Bulgaria, Italy and Portugal avoided giving substantial points to each other in the 2017 final as it hinted at a reluctance of allowing the others to have the advantage of going ahead and having a better chance of winning. Obviously people have different tastes but it can look “suspicious” in a way when they avoid giving the main points to their biggest… Read more »
