Switzerland, Malta and France will be strong with jury. Even Sweden. They will steal other points. Im not sure if people will go crazy for one of these songs in May. 2 French songs? and ballads? People wanna dance and celebrate. I think even in televoting both songs will steal each other points. Malta I cant say but often struggle in televoting. Lithuania might be Top 3 or winning the televoting. Maybe Germany as a dark horse or San marino. Italy is difficult to say. Finland and Italy might steal eachother points as well and Im not sure about the… Read more »

Srry I really can’t see Germany even in top 15, I’m not a hater but being realistic this will probably be in the bottom 5 with the juries.

Of course Germany will be bottom five. Potential 0 points from the jury maybe it’ll get some points with the televote. We’ve seen many times that Germany doesn’t win many points if the song isn’t good. This is gonna be one of those for sure

I can understand why many will say Bottom 5. Still this is a live stage song, no radio one. This will surprise us. Dont forget. The Roop worked with Jendrik and his staging. I think many underrated Jendrik.

There’s no way Germany even comes close to the top 15. But I think you might be right with everything else.

Personally, I’d rate Finland higher than Italy, especially when it comes to the televoting. But I seem to be the only one to do so.

Always thought (and I realize I’m part of a minority) who thought the United Kingdom was robbed of its victory in 1988 when Celine Dion won with one point. “Go” was stunning and with a wonderful vocal. My hope is that France will come out victorious this year and put Switzerland in second place. But will probably not happen – if I’m honest!

I hope France will win too. Kinda getting bored by Switzerland and Malta has never been a favourite(for me) this year. I don’t approve the thing about Celine Dion tho

Switzerland is a really safe and tailor-made song, it literally has almost the same team behind as Arcade, following similar recipe. At least Cyprus, Malta and Sweden don’t try to copy last years winner…I believe Switzerland winning is a threat to Eurovision diversity, giving the message that only melancholic ballads can win. The statistics after 2016 prove that, after all.

Yea, Toy is definitely a melancholic ballad.

You can try to misinterpret as much as you want my message, but reality does not change 😉 If you can’t see the change in the song type winning in the last 5 years, then you must be delusional.

Eurovision winners have been so diverse these last years for example 2016 a traditional ballad from Ukraine. 2017 Portugal with a very unique song that no one thought could win eurovision. 2018 Israel’s Netta with an uptempo song. 2019 Duncan and his ballad. Do you really not see the diversity here?

I’m starting to worry about the Roop, I really don’t want them to flop but, according to the OGAE, they’re in the unlucky 4th spot :/

Anyways, happy Eurovision Month, everybody

In 2019, Norway was in the 4th spot according to OGAE and they won televote, so not that unlucky

I think its a song that people need to see live to enjoy it more. Unfortunately its not doing very well at all in the Euro Jury online poll. Out of all the countries that have so far voted only about 5 have given it points.

Does EuroJury predict the results well? it is quite strange for Lithuania not doing well there then taking into account the bets and ogae voting

The Roop and Maneskin are so underrated. I think they both have a very good chance of winning.

And you complaining about Malta on every OGAE-related article is just ridiculous as well. That one is mainly about Lithuania, Karen. Yet you’re still focusing on Malta. Like all the time. The frustration is real.

I mean, I watched a lot of esc videos yesterday of previous years and there are so many entries that got high ogae points and didn’t do well and vice versa. That’s not me saying Switzerland, France or Malta won’t do well because I think they will but basically for the ogae in general, don’t take the results as fact and think it’ll be replicated in esc because chances are, it won’t be.

Starting to look like Lithuania could be the winners this year if they manage to scrape a top three jury position

Why does Germany get two votes???

What does EC stand for? Is this some hangover from East vs West Germany?

We have 2 fanclubs in Germany. EC and OGAE. One was founded in Cologne and one in Munich

But why is the EC considered a member of OGAE?
