The 221 Belgian voters award their silver medal to current poll leader Switzerland. Gjon’s Tears picks up ten more points to extend his lead. Meanwhile, eight points go to Lithuania’s The Roop, who sit in fourth place overall.

Belgium also shared some liefde with the United Kingdom, awarding James Newman his first point of the season.

I think this proves why I personally think the UK’s entry is being really overhyped by many in the eurovision bubble. This is the first point we have received. Some have said that it’s our best entry for many years. I beg to differ. I actually preferred last years effort, as well as Lucy Jones and Molly. I find it devoid of any musical soul. It goes for the conveyor belt Sigala et al dance beat. Also, his voice, which is actually very good, is autotuned to farcical levels. If this creeps into the top 15, I will be very,… Read more »

The Belgian OGAE voters were probably only from Waals-Brabant. If Belgians from every part of Belgium voted for the OGAE poll, Malta wouldn’t have gotten the 12 points (more like 8 or 7 points).

If oddchecker would get hacked placing Georgia as the favorite then you would watch OGAE giving 12 points to Georgia.

“fake hype”. The same “fake hype”, which like 75% of OGAE favorites of other years got and which eventually ended up in the top 5 anyways?

It’s obvious that ogaes following eachothers vote, you see Switzerland malta and france gets most top votes and Lithuania and san marino scoring high, ogaes votes similarity, lol lol lol…in Eurovision every country will send their votes before they are announced so no chance of copying eachother and no bookies and polls but performances counts

The thing is Malta , Lithuania , France have all voted and Switzerland have not. So essentially that 25 point lead is only a 15 point lead.

I’m glad Belgium gave points to UK. Embers is a good song.

3 countries in my Top 15 are yet to receive points now , Belgium(9) ,Slovenia(10) and Czech Republic(11)

Try again. You can easily see the many differences between Toy and Je Me Casse. You know very well that they aren’t similar except for the message. Destiny isn’t making chicken noises or being crazy in order to get people’s attention. She’s a superstar that steals the show with her powerful performances, just like Barbara Pravi. They both have star quality. And for the ‘Voila’ stans that are coming at Destiny’s song, it’s surprising not to see you talking about Barbara currently supporting and appreciating it on Instagram. Really surprising. Barbara loves music, she’s not making difference like y’all whether… Read more »

Since there are constant comments complaining about Malta getting points — and the other countries aren’t getting some, mysteriously — Imma cheer on the island cause it needs more support than ever. And it will get on nerves of some anti-Malta Karens here, so that would definitely be a satisfying thing to do.

Come thruuuuu Belgium!! Thx for the 12 points Belgian fans ! You betta work!

My choice for Belgium is obvious? Do you honestly believe that I like every single entry of Belgium? Or Sweden for that matter? Do you honestly think that I’m the only one who does not like your precious Malta? Many here wrote way more worse things about Malta than I did. And some have even commented on Destiny herself. Which I never did, by the way. And there’s something like freedom of speech and it’s nowhere stated that you are required to read all the comments. Oh yes, and Lithuania… hmmm, not that much either…

It was an assumption of mine. I was just dealing with this year Hooverphonic song, not all the Belgian entries. So, do you like your 2021 country’s entry or not ? You’re not the only one, I’m well aware of that. But you’re one of the few that are always keeping complaining about Malta in OGAE-related articles. When you say once that you don’t like when Malta is getting points or that you don’t agree with the OGAE branches rewarding the island with some top points, we get it. But you’re doing the same thing on various articles it’s annoying… Read more »

I also know very well that you haven’t said anything bad about Destiny. You didn’t come at her for her weight and clothes like Im so fab and Doris. And I didn’t highlighted that on my first comment.

You’re indeed free to say what you want on that website, but doesn’t mean that you’re free to disrespect people opinion and decisions when they’re loving the Maltese entry — which is exactly what you’ve done by stating that the Belgian OGAR branch had no taste. That’s an unpleasant and disrespectful comment to make.

It’s interesting to know, but I don’t get what it has to do with my answer. And another thing that might shock you. Y’all can easily guess that I love Destiny so much, but she wasn’t even in my top 10 last year. Her song was way too classical and deja vu for me. If I’m defending it this year, it is because I really adore it. Not because I’m from Malta — as many people assumed about me — or because I’m obese etc. I do enjoy ‘Je Me Casse’ song for a lot of reasons, it is my… Read more »

To be honest with you, my goal with my comments is to make you realize that you have to respect other people tastes, Stephanie. You don’t seem to be a bad girl. You just have to know that your words can hurt people feelings. How would you feel if you were loving a song and an user were stating that people that were liking the song you loved had no taste ? That’s not a pleasing thing to say and especially to hear from somebody. So choose carefully and with wisdom the words you could post, that way you won’t… Read more »
