Stefania acoustic last dance greece eurovision 2021

She’s the supergirl who will represent Greece in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with “Last Dance” — a lovely blast of 80s pop updated for today. And now Stefania has delivered an acoustic version of the song accompanied by just a piano.

With one week to go until her first rehearsal takes place on the Eurovision stage in Rotterdam, Stefania appeared on ERT1’s festive special “Our Best Easter”, presented by Jenny Theona and Meletis Elias.

Stefania’s fans in the OGAE Greece fan club are impressed with their star — and for good reason. In this stripped-back version she demonstrates total vocal control, easily hitting those big notes in the final part of the song. The 18-year-old wore a tasteful black dress with a white blouse throw-over. It’s a simple look that oozes both comfort and class.

Greece at Eurovision 2021

There have been a lot of murmurs and plenty of speculation about Stefania’s planned stage show, but the delegation has kept all details under wraps for the time being. However, it’s known that they’re satisfied with stand-in rehearsals and that only minor tweaks are needed ahead of her arrival in Rotterdam.

Fans of Greek mythology will have to put their dreams of a Pegasus on hold. In a recent interview with Wiwibloggs, Stefania revealed that her stage show will not feature the mythical beast born of Medusa’s blood.

What do you think? Do you think Greece has what it takes to qualify and score high? Let us know in the comments below!

A very good acoustic version, but I would have liked to have heard a live version.

It’s a bit worrisome that Greece has not presented their entry live. We still don’t know that Stefania can sing well while dancing. The same thing happened with Demy, Yianna Terzi and Katrine Douska. None of these women ever performed their entires live, so we never knew if they could pull it off.

That being said, if Stefania can produce a solid live performance on the night, Greece should do very well at Eurovision this year. Top five with a good live performance!

I prefer this version to be honest. It is much more emotional than the original.

It’s an acoustic version, such as all the other pre-party songs. Nobody said that this is live.

ERT promoted this as live and delayed her preparty performance to have this be her first “live” performance so yes, this was meant to be live

Mimed. I felt disconnected immediately.
Sure, she can sing, but this felt too staged and fake with no emotion. Sorry.

I love, love this. Irrespective if her voice is edited or not, it’s brilliant. I just hope she can sing this good live.

Imagine her singing this version!! I would prefer this to the original version if I’m being honest. One of my favorites this year 🙂

I don’t get why she hasn’t performed on a big TV show in Greece yet (or even Netherlands). I mean with full performance and choreography.

She has already done for Greece’s ‘your face sounds familiar’. This episode will play in a few days in Greek tv. Rumors say that she performed live in the same high level as the acoustic version.

But it’s not going to be a full performance with dancers, i read that it is going to be an acoustic/piano version. I don’t get why they don’t want to give us a full choreography show before Eurovision. It’s not like the 100m viewers of the grand final will watch it.

For me…50% due to the risky professionalism choice…to create hype and expectations (risky but…worthy too)
and 50% due to the amateurism choice of ert…to create an imaginery virtual joy park with a hidden treasure

If you are planning to do a Foureira then you have to do it like Foureira. You don’t advertise your “surprise” beforehand and hype the media with something “never been seen before” in Eurovision.
‘Cause the “leak” was planned and spread everywhere by the Dream Teams “news” department in maximum speed

+2… this is true. From a marketing view…any publicity is a good one….but all these ‘moves’ are made with a bad communicative manner. The team is promising in a stabble way…an unforgetable performance…but is wrong to see the greek prs….to scream “after the 1st reh. GR will be in odds top 5 “…etc Odds have nothing to do with juries and the 90% of televoters. Juries vote according non song criteria and some song criteria and are biased always. Televoters…too. Esc is a biased competition._ So…for juries the approach is always behind the scenes…. your main target is to win… Read more »

LD has the whole package for being top5.
I am extremely satisfied with the acoustic version.
But still, I need to listen to her singing and dancing live.
But if she succeeds…Oh boy! Yeah Yeah Fire!

People commenting that this is not live: Of course it is edited, but do you seriously think that every other preparty song was not? Just because they were holding a mic, you think there is no possibility for live autotuning? A trained ear can clearly hear the editing, in ALL the videos.

Only because the greek fans were screaming “Not live!” for anyone else who did attend the two events they chose not to.
They were praising Ert for choosing not to attend because everything was pre-recorded and it was pointless. They only realized the made a bad choice when Greece started dropping in the odds.

Actually they are screaming for nothing. Live will be perfect…cuz prerecorded million voices are permitted anyway.

Greece is very nervous for a place in top10..and should stay cool, in order to succeed. Otherwise 18th place is coming fast…

To everyone telling that this isn’t a live performance, gurl every one who performed in PreParty ES didn’t have a live performance. Her vocals were recorded live and then they adjusted the video in the program.

Doesn’t seem really live to me though. Great vocals whatsoever. Seems like she will deliver an impressive performance. Still wondering what would be the staging like…hopefully no Pegasus, either Atlas nor any material not related to the actual song 😀

They have confirmed that the videoclip with those creatures will not be adapted to the performance, because they know that this is cheesy. IF they keep something from the videoclip that will be the light show in the end, which reminds of Dotter’s “Bulletproof” performance.

Perfect ! If I remember right, the staging director is Kirkorov’s friend who did the stage for Sergey Lazarev both times he was at Eurovision, the excellent staging of La Venda and DoReDos…so we might have something interesting visually. (also same for Sugar by Natalia – same director: Evangelinos)

Rumor has it she will be on some green colored steps which will act as a screen for things to be projected on like they do for the weather forecast in the News. Don’t know if it’s true but this is what I’ve read somewhere.
I also read that her dancers will wear costumes that illuminate in the darkness like Danny Saucedo’s Amazing in Melodifestivalen.

She seems like a likeable person and her voice sounds very nice! The high notes do sound a bit strained even with the pitch correction being used and the fact that she’ll probably be moving (and dancing?) on stage, it raises some concerns. Of course she’s gonna have backing singers so I don’t see why they can’t do another ‘Demy’.
Good luck Stefania

Because then this is not funny and very late. 1) I am the opposite of jealous, I am tremendously happy and amazed by Stefania’s talent. 2) My comments about the Greek song are supportive as I want her to be in the top 3 or more. 3) Getting dislikes from people who think that being a fan is just about being a brainless worshipper and not about critical thinking when necessary is indeed a huge source of fun. 4) The only pathetic thing here is your ability to judge people and not their… Read more »

Why are you always so grumpy, moody and interpret everything in a negative way ?
It is just funny that you predict a surprise as by definition a surprise cannot be predicted.
