The queen of the night has arrived. Samanta Tīna is ready to sing her anthem “The Moon is Rising” tonight. And our own William arrived to interview the Latvian diva after her rehearsals.

Interview: Samanta Tīna at Eurovision 2021

Samanta was her sparkling and lovely self from the get-go, feeling herself in her emerald green gown and flaunting it. “The color green represents a new life. Green is the new black, I can promise that it’s going to happen!”

She made good promise of that in her stage show, showcasing strong greens and golds through the performance with a meticulously designed LED, supported with her strong regal presence with a crowning moment included. “With the two hands God has given us, we must accept and crown ourselves. Once you learn to love yourself, everything around you is going to change!”

Harking back to her song from last year “Still Breathing”, the backing singers wear stark, green visors, imagery that has become pretty iconic from Samanta’s songs. “My powerful visor girls, we decided we must keep that image because it is still relevant in this day and age, unfortunately. They are my crew, a big band, all together.”

Samanta explains that she is a person that must always be active and on the go. “I’m always looking what’s next to do, and can’t be told to relax. I will know when I need to sit down.” And the safety protocol measures sure aren’t a hindrance, as technology permits her to keep working, even giving us some exclusive breaking news.

“We even finished my new song, “I’m the woman”! It’s going to be out soon!”

What do you think? Are you all over the Queen that is Samanta Tīna? Let us know in the comments below!

She’s betting that, because it worked for Tamara Todevska 2 years ago (North Macedonia’s first-ever top-10 finish), it’ll work for her. I don’t think so. She’s got FIN before her, and SUI after her. Those jaws will close up on her and swallow her whole.

<Insert Jaws movie theme here>

QED. You got your wish, T.J. FIN top jaw, SUI bottom jaw, bit down very hard! A hot mess, needless to say.

That’s not K-Pop
That’s not Trance
That’s not Techno

What is that? And why is everyone loving it!?

ah yes, the only 3 genres known to man, k-pop, trance and techno. it therefore can’t be music since it doesn’t fit into any of those :((((

Then WHAT GENRE IS THIS SONG? I mentioned only the ones closer to ‘The Moon Is Rising’ but I guess they made their own genre, I’ll call it “Mess”

Superficial dirge if I’m honest.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, the crown thing is not a thing.

Off topic – there’s a documentary about Kateryna’s (Go_A) life on Ukrainian broadcaster’s YouTube channel and her story is apparently quite shocking. I can’t watch now but I am very curious. Can somebody summarize?

Yeah, I saw it, she was born with 2 heads, probably the result of her mother being exposed to radiation fallout from Chernobyl. Doctors only removed the other head when Kateryna was 16. She keeps it in the freezer and takes it out every so often for a chat.
Shocking stuff altogether!
