In recent weeks Eurovision winners Måneskin have blitzed through the United States, going coast-to-coast with their unique brand of rock ‘n roll chic. They appeared on massive TV shows in New York and Los Angeles, opened for The Rolling Stones in Las Vegas and attended the American Music Awards in Hollywood, where they were nominated for Favourite Trending Song.

And on Tuesday the Italian four-piece will climb yet another rung on the path to global super stardom by helping to present nominations for the 64th GRAMMY Awards. You can watch the ceremony live on the Recording Academy’s Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube accounts from 09:00 Los Angeles / 17:00 London / 18:00 Torino. Or just stick around and watch it below.

Other presenters include global pop sensations BTS; country-pop singer Carly Pearce; singer and Billboard Hot 100 songwriter Tayla Parx; Grammy winner H.E.R.; and the broadcaster (also known Oprah Winfrey’s best friend) Gayle King.

The invitation to announce the nominees for the Grammy Awards shows the respect that the Recording Academy have for Måneskin. It can be read as an endorsement of their music and suggests those in the know think they have staying power.

Fans are also wondering aloud if the band might land a nomination themselves. This is not a given. However, there is a bit of precedent. Last year’s nomination presenters included Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion and BTS, and they received multiple nominations between them.

Forbes magazine is predicting that Måneskin could secure a nomination in the Best New Artist category. It predicts the following eight names: Celeste, Gabby Barrett, Glass Animals, The Kid Laroi, Måneskin, Olivia Rodrigo, Polo G and Walker Hayes.

It describes Olivia Rodrigo — who has topped the charts globally with her songs “drivers license” and “Good 4U” — as “the presumptive winner,” adding that “if she loses, it will be rather shocking.”

Other acts it thinks could sneak into the mix are: 24kGoldn, Ava Max, Blackpink, Finneas, Jimmie Allen, Rina Sawayama, Saweetie and SG Lewis.

Do you think that Måneskin might land a nomination for Best New Artist? Or could they even snag a nod for Song of the Year? Let us know down below.

Bit hard to take the Grammys seriously when Kanye West has 21 of them while ABBA have none.

People often judge Kanye West’s work only by personality, but his songs are actually pretty good. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a Masterpiece. That being said, the Grammys have lost their prestige long time ago, it’s purely commercial now.

we’re clowns for expecting the us-centered grammys to nominate måneskin for bna but then again teatro d’ira made little noise in the u s of a. olive oil kinda has this one on lock anyway.

how ironic everyone was pulling for Maneskin and ABBA shocks everyone with their first ever nomination!!

wtf?? how come they did not receive a nomination for Best New Artist, yet they asked them to present? This is so random.

Duncan and Arcade did not receive any nominations, which is sad.

Maneskin didn’t get nominated, but ABBA did for Record of the Year for “I Still Have Faith In You”

If they’re nominated and win, they’d be the first Eurovision act to win (give or take…I feel like Celine Dion has gotten one in the interim but I can’t prove it) since another Italian act: Domenico Modugno, who took home the first ever Record of the Year for “Volare”!

OK, so unless “Zitti e buoni” miraculously gets nominated, never mind.

(Then again, “Zitti e buoni” and the other songs from the new album are the only ones eligible to be nominated – “Beggin'” came out too early to be nominated)

Song of the Year is awarded to only songwriters, while Record of the Year is everyone involved, from writers to producers to sound engineers!

Thanks, that actually does make sense.

They literally have no chance. It’s Olivia Rodrigo’s year.

Doubt they will get nominated but hey if they could win Eurovision then..
Grammys or not, I hope they continue to deal their cards right and focus on global succes. I hate for them to be known as a “three-hit-wonder”, of which one was a cover of a cover. The “MamaMia” single just died on take-off..

First of all, it’s Mammamia. It has almost 35millions streams on Spotify only. It’s gold record in Italy. The vinyl went sold out in few minutes. I would say the song is very much alive.

Maybe in Italy. In UK it was chosen as BBC Radio 1 Track of the Week and failed to reach top 40. In Sweden where Måneskin had great success and they even performed on Idol, the single died. So I do worry a bit..

Ava max or blackpink receiving best new artist nominations would be rather weird since they both have had global succes for multiple years already.

You could say this to Måneskin too. Their breakthrough was X Factor 2017 and they have released music since then

I’d be shocked if they were nominated for Best New Artist but very happy for them. I think they have a better shot in the Rock categories and World Music categories. Still, it could be a big wake up call for other artists about Eurovision and certainly in the UK about Eurovision as a platform

Even if Maneskin get the nomination only, it solidifies them in the industry at least for the next couple of years.

I wouldn’t necessarily say so. Not even a win would be a guarantee for that. Nevertheless, if you’ve got a Grammy nod … you’ve got a Grammy nod. Which must be kind of cool, I guess …? 😀
