Georgia in Junior Eurovision 2021: Niko Kajaia with “Let’s Count The Smiles”
For the third year in a row, Georgia used an original children’s talent show format — Ranina — to select its junior Eurovision artist. The competition took place over six rounds, with ten-year-old Niko winning out in a three-act final.
His song “Let’s Count The Smiles” was internally selected.
Niko was born and raised in the capital city of Tbilisi, where he spends his free time learning to sculpt, watching cartoons and practicing his singing.
The 10-year-old singer hopes to become either a famous pop star or the President of Georgia.
What do the “Let’s Count The Smiles” lyrics mean?
Sung in Georgian, English, and French, Nikoloz’s song is a funky dream-pop number, with singing and dancing in various styles. The lyrics of “Let’s Count The Smiles” sends a message of smiles, love and friendship. The chorus of the song is delivered primarily in French – “Si tu me crois, je te crois / Allez tu rêve je te crois”.
Giga Kukhianidze is behind the composition. He’s no stranger to the Junior Eurovision family. He is responsible for ten Georgian entries, winning the contest three times.

Does “Let’s Count The Smiles” leave you smiling? Let us know in the comments.
Georgia has done it again! I like most of their entries, and they’re quite successful in jesc too. This song reminds me of Georgia’s 2019 entry, which was so criminally underrated. I hope this year they won’t have the same fate!! Now all that is left is to hope that Circus Mircus have an entry good enough to qualify…
It does make me smile! Count on my vote, and smile 😀
My favourite this year <3
Dear wiwi web editor.
Can we have a filter added to the website pretty please? .
I don’t really want to scroll past endless junior esc postings. I’m just not interested in this part of eurovision
Doubt it’s gonna win, but definitely a dark horse!
This is SO charming, I believe Georgia is a strong contender.
I just loooove his song!!!
Georgia is my second place this year. I love Niko and his amazing song
Charming performer, nice and funny song, I bet on a boy’s victory this year, would it be him? He could be, and I will probably vote for him. Good luck Niko!
