We are just weeks away from Festivali i Këngës 60 — the Albanian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

And that means juicy details are dripping out of Tirana and spilling all over social media.

Among the latest announcements is that Mirud will be collaborating with the creative director Nick Marianos

Nick Marianos is a well-known creative with vast experience in the world of Eurovision.

Nick, who is also a dancer, was on stage with Sakis Rouvas during Eurovision 2009 in Moscow for his performance of “This Is The Night”. He was also the creative director for San Marino in 2019, helping Serhat say na, na, na en route to the grand final.

More recently, he oversaw the stage show for Inis Neziri at FiK 59 for her song ‘Pendesë’.

Details about Mirud’s stage show are a closely guarded secret. But fans have welcomed this collaboration, and are hopeful that it will help Mirud push to the top.

Mirud will be competing with “Për Dreq” (To Hell With It), composed by last year’s winning composer Kledi Bahiti. Mirud wrote the lyrics himself.

Festivali i Kenges 60 will take place between 26 and 29 December. For the first time ever, FiK will have a Gala Night on the opening night of the Festival.

Are you excited by this upcoming FiK collaboration? Did you LOVE Sakis at Eurovision 2009? And what about Inis at FiK? Let us know in the comments box below.

I really really hope that FiK is not corrupted as many say and this gem will make it to Eurovision.

To all people who say FiK has already declared a winner, what are your sources? I really wanna know what’s happening and I can’t find any information anywhere.

FiK isn’t corrupt but rather just predetermined to a large extent. There’s no public voting so no viewers are getting their votes not counted (and thus not paying for a bogus service).

The only way I can see the big names not winning is if they bomb the live performance and someone else with a good song is spectacular live.

He is my personal winner, but I know he can’t win because Albin is already chosen to represent Albania in Eurovision. You know what, why many FiK songs favoured by esc fans nearly never make it to the Eurovision? Because of corruption present in FiK for many years!

Juicy juicy! I love this word. And I LOVED the “Say na-na-na staging”, it was my third favourite staging in 2019.
More juicy details please!

why is this newsworthy enough to write an article about? There are like 10 other acts, are you going to write a seperate article about their team too?

I agree. There are plenty of actual stars competing in FiK this year, but for some reason, Mirud gets the spotlight on this website quite often. Nobody in Albania knows who Mirud is. Also, are we forgetting that Mirud buys his Instagram followers, Youtube views and comments? I wouldn’t be surprised if he also paid someone to write this article.
