The brand spanking new pre-party in the Eurovision calendar has announced its first performers and opened applications for press accreditation.

The Spanish city of Barcelona, famous for its timeless architecture and unrivalled football culture, has a new attraction ready to draw in hoards of international visitors.

The first-ever Barcelona Eurovision Party will take place at Sala Apolo on March 26th, where up to 20 artists will perform ahead of Eurovision held in Turin on May 10th, 12th and 14th.

Now, the first names in the lineup have been revealed. Albania’s Ronela Hajati and Czechia’s We Are Domi will be showcasing their Eurovision 2022 entries Sekret and Lights Off, and more names are expected to be revealed via the party’s Instagram page, so keep your eyes peeled!

Iconic Eurovision alumni like Conchita Wurst, the SunStroke Project, Spain’s Rosa López and Andorra’s Marta Roure are also scheduled to perform, with Sharonne and Giuseppe Di Bella hosting the evening.

The Barcelona Eurovision Party will mark the beginning of pre-party season, taking place ahead of more familiar parties in our calendars like the London Eurovision Party, Tel Aviv Calling, the Madrid PreParty and Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam.

Organised by Menuditas Factory, this latest pre-party aims to bring Eurovision closer to the fans and to Catalan culture.

Applications are now open for press accreditation at the Barcelona Eurovision Party. The deadline for applications is February 9th.

Main problem is that the venue where the party takes place is very far away from the sauna.

Isn’t it a little early to start planning a pre-party. The deadline is before we even get the majority of the winning National final acts!

MARTA ROURE! Jugarem A Estimar-Nos is one of the few songs from 2004 I still listen to regularly. Hopefully it will have less choreo this time.

Interesting, will it cancel the Madrid pre party? If not some acts will go to perform twice in Spain before Eurovision ?
