It’s been exactly under a month since we got our last song for Turin. And now, before Spain and Moldova make their choices, we can reveal your favourite Eurovision 2022 act so far — Albania’s Ronela Hajati with “Sekret”.

Poll results: Ronela Hajati is your favourite Eurovision 2022 act so far (29 January)

Since 30 December, 3,345 votes were cast in our poll. Of these, 59.91% went to the Festivali i Këngës 60 queenThat amounts to a grand total of 2,004 votes.

After topping our first survey, Czech Republic’s We Are Domi must make do with second position. “Lights Off” managed to get 1,207 votes or 36.08% of all votes cast.

Bulgaria’s Intelligent Music Project finish a very distant third. “Intention” only managed to get a mere 134 votes. That’s 4.01% of all the votes cast.

Thankfully, this isn’t the end. Our trio will return to the ring once again when we relaunch the poll on Sunday. They’ll be joined by the winners of Spain’s Benidorm Fest and Moldova’s live auditions.

The five songs so far are pretty nice. They don’t all suit my style, but I enjoy the variation. Spain has a little more energy but I prefer the Albanian song

I just wish Bulgaria was changing their entry – they have plenty of time, but perhaps they don’t care.

Albania is so overrated, fans will forget about the song by March when we get to hear more entries. Her loud vocals are unbearable and sound cringy to Europeans but i guess the Albanian diaspora will give her a decent result in televoting.

I guess this year we have a Eurovision limbo challenge. Can you go lower than Bulgaria?

Not surprised Albania is #1 with this version. I hope she didn’t make too many modifications so she still has a chance to qualify. With the additional use of more English and using non-balkan producers, who probably removed a lot of the ethnic vibes, I won’t be surprised if she actually ends up downgrading her song. 🙁 But we will see.

Until tonight, there’s been three Eurovision songs since last month. Now we’re starting to add more to the roster.

Why this constant humiliation of Bulgaria? I’m not a fan of the song (seriously, I’ve ever heard a snippet and decided not to continue) but it seems like the wiwibloggers are set on hating it. It doesn’t fit the inclusive environment I enjoyed for the past 6 years 🙁

Firstly, the people who voted in the polls are readers, not the bloggers themselves.

Secondly, the reason why they are saying “Guess who’s third” is because it seems like everyone has a general consensus that this song is their least favourite of the three that have been confirmed. I don’t think it’s that deep. people just aren’t responding to the song.

I’m sorry, but that song is weak and bland, we aren’t attacking the artists just the song itself and the humiliation of the big 5 last year who got the Zeros have led to them going in a different direction for the better this year which will hopefully lead to a better song from Bulgaria for 2023.

I really like Albania so far.
The name intelligent music project is such a hilarious self-own. I take it Bulgaria doesn’t wanna be successful anymore either?

That band name just sounds like they are part of some old propaganda leadership, and the fact that when the name was first posted to Wikipedia, and then lead not to the band but a business man who had help funding it, it really does make it feel like this artist pick was done with a lot more money then song quality.

Having seen how high they could get in artist quality with Victoria last time, this is such a low for Bulgaria after their 2016-2021 success streak.

I truly do wonder about the *intention* behind choosing this? Was it to just send anything with rock in it? Or did the broadcaster run out of money again and needed an artist who pays their own bills like Moldova?

Ummmmm? Incorrect. The wiwiblogg readers are all people who hate Albania meanwhile Albania is trending in 4 European countries and is the favorite…….. so 😉 when Albania sends a ballad it’s “oh no not another ballad!” But when Albania sends a pop song its “noooo” like make up yo mind. Also if Albania has to keep every last word in Albanian keep the same energy for all 42 other countries. Tootles.
