Eesti Laul 2022 semi-final one acts Estonia

The newly expanded Eesti Laul 2022 launched back in November with four quarter finals. And now, almost two months after the fourth episode aired, it’s time for the semi-finals. While the Estonians were in no rush to reach this stage, the semis will be dealt with quickly — semi-final one is tonight, 3 February, and the second will follow just two days later on Saturday 5 February.

Here’s when and how you can watch semi-final one of Eesti Laul 2022.

Tonight’s result will be determined across two rounds of voting. The first will see three songs sent to the final through a combination of jury and public vote. A second round of televoting will see two more songs entries progress to the final. Five more finalists will be selected in a similar fashion during Saturday’s second semi.

The first 10 contenders are:

  1. Elysa “Fire”*
  2. Helen “Vaata minu poole”
  3. Andrei Zevakin feat. Grete Paia “Mis nüüd saab”
  4. Alabama Watchdog “Move On”
  5. Merilin Mälk “Little Girl”*
  6. Stig Rästa “Interstellar”
  7. Triin Niitoja and Frants Tikerpuu “Laululind”
  8. Kaia-Liisa Kesler “Vaikus”
  9. Elina Nechayeva “Remedy”
  10. Ott Lepland “Aovalguses”

Most acts will be performing their entries live for the first time as only music videos were shown during the quarter-finals. The exceptions are Elysa and Merilin Mälk. ERR reports that both singers are out due to illness. They won’t perform live and their music videos will be shown instead.

OMG. That moment in the green room when Juri was preparing contestants for a glass-smashing contest, and the tablecloth comes loose! Now that’s live TV. 😀 Well done Juri for keeping it together.

Obviously I’m gonna enjoy a duet at a piano. 🙂 Sorry that there were some bad vocals early on tonight, but I enjoyed the last five performances (no.s 6-10) – Those are my five qualifiers.

Yes I was terrified for a moment. And her vocals became shaky for one split moment during the impact with the ground. Jeez

Okay how on earth (no pun intended) was Stig floating lol? I think he has high chances of winning actually judging by Estonia’s voting record.

Something seemed a bit off to be during Andrei’s and Grete’s performance. It could be that the studio version has that much autotune, that the song is almost unrecognisable without it
