Chanel Benidorm Fest

We’re about to get a raft of new Eurovision 2022 songs with North Macedonia, Ireland, Israel and Italy all set to decide their entries for Turin in the coming days. But first, we can reveal your favourite out of the five acts selected so far — Spain’s Chanel with “SloMo”.

Poll results: Chanel is your favourite Eurovision 2022 act so far (4 February)

Since 30 January, 6,450 votes were cast in our poll. Of these, 46.74% went to the Benidorm Fest queenThat amounts to a grand total of 3,015 votes.

After topping our last survey, Albania’s Ronela Hajati must make do with second position. “Sekret” managed to get 2,028 votes or 31.44% of all votes cast.

Czech Republic’s We Are Domi complete the top three. The “Lights Off” trio secured 15.16% of the vote, taking 15.16% votes home with them.

I wonder how the next poll’s result will look like, though I can see Italy topping it with whichever song they choose.

We will have four more songs before the weekend is out (unless an internal selection drops their song too). Out of those, I can only see Italy Sounds in Spain to win this pool, depending on what they choose from Sanremo. Israel could place a little higher, between third and fifth place, but Ireland and north Macedonia are middle of the pack at best. We’ll see what happens this weekend

Well I love watching the live performance of SloMo because Chanel is such a great performer, but unfortunately the song itself is just not good enough for me to listen to it on streaming sites. 8/10 performance with a 4/10 song.

Totally deserved.. Been blasting SloMo out my speakers since it came out.. I sincerely hope Spain comes top 10, even 5, even 3, even….. It is for now my winner

The fans were fully influenced by her performance, that’s why she won. The song…another story.

Everything is important in ESC, not just the song. The staging, clothes, choreography

Not all countries have live performances of their songs like Bulgaria, so we can’t really rank some countries just based on studio version and some on both live performance and studio version unless we see the performances at Eurovision stage. There were countries which had fantastic performances in national final and then the actual Eurovision performance was underwhelming.

The title of the poll was: What is your Eurovision 2022 ACT so far? Not what is your favorite song.
Whatever, in both case she is the most interesting candidate to date.

The most important thing for ESC is the performance, not the song.

I mean, the Spanish televoters clearly weren’t impressed. Too soon to say about how it’s gonna go in ESC though.

Remember the Manizha incident? Basically the same thing and we know how she ended up doing.

Italy will take over the first spot but neither North Macedonia, nor Ireland, nor Israel, have acts strong enough to enter the podium. Spain and Albania are two very strong overall acts.

How an esc winner alert ?! Is it that exceptionnal to be considered like that or is it only because it is from Italy and many eurofans have a bias and a blinded love towards Italy, no seriously I don’t see this song as an Eurovision winning song, there are better songs already in some NF.
And if some people are influenced by the odds to say that it’s an esc winner, I have to remember you, that last year The Roop was first in the odds to at the same moment with even odds smaller than Italy actually.

The Netherlands is coming.. Rumors around S10’s song are very promising.. They even turned down Armin van Buuren for her song which for me says a lot

I actually have high expectations on S10’s entry. I’ve heard Dutch music and I loved most of what I’ve heard.
