The second semi-final of Lithuania’s Pabandom iš Naujo! 2022 was filmed earlier this week. But it’s only now that the public will have their say and help decide which four acts should qualify to the grand final.
In the interim, we asked you to vote for the participants that you wanted to qualify through semi-final two.
A total of 1,910 votes were cast and the results are now in.
Monika Liu is a favourite to win Pabandom iš Naujo 2022 semi-final two
Finishing on top of this semi-final two poll is Monika Liu. She earned 520 votes (27.23% of the total) for her entry “Sentimentai”. Monika is increasingly becoming a favourite to win the whole thing, and it seems y’all are jumping on the bandwagon to get her to the grand final.
In at number two is Rūta Loop. She picked up 438 votes (22.93%) for “Call Me From the Cold”. After a series of previous attempts in Lithuania’s national selections, she’s hoping to finally snatch the crown. For now though, our readers definitely want her in the final at least.
Your final two qualifiers would be Eurovision 2018 star Ieva Zasimauskaitė along with Augustė Vedrickaitė. They were the only other two acts to receive more than 200 votes.
That means, if the results were up to you, we would see Moosu X, Titas & Benas, Vilija Matačiūnaitė, Urtė Šilagalytė, and Mary Mo eliminated from the competition.

Pabandom iš Naujo! 2022: Show details
Pabandom iš Naujo! 2022 semi-final two begins at 20:00 CET on Saturday 5 February. The programme will be streamed live on LRT’s website.
The result of semi-final two will be determined by a 50/50 jury/televote split. The combined votes of the jury and televote will determine the ranking of the nine acts in the semi-final, and hence the four acts who will progress to the grand final.
The four acts who qualify from this week’s show will join the four who made it through semi-final one in the Pabandom iš Naujo! 2022 grand final. This is scheduled for 12 February, where Lithuania will select its act for Eurovision 2022 in Turin, Italy.

This semi is a bloodbath. All the favorites in one room. I’ve seen some clips of Monika Liu’s semi performance and it’s way better this time, new visuals. Same with Ruta Loop, she tweaked her performance quite a bit.

I am holding my fingers crossed for Ruta, Ieva, Monika, Urte. Especially the first two. Please, Lithuania!
I feel like Lithuania has a lot of chances to do great this year. I’m not in love with each song in the selection, but overall it’s very good, compared to other finals this year. I’m rooting for Monika too, her song grew on me a little. Its has this intimate Salvador Sobral – esque quality to it. I kinda feel that Ruta’s track lacks a proper build-up,tho. I don’t know but the tune sorta suggests tension, it has this very mystical feel to it, but it just has no release. What do you think about it?
Hopefully Moosu X will qualify instead of Auguste or Ieva.
