Poland have switched things up this year with a fresh, new national final show – Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję  (The heart of Europe beats here! We choose the hit for Eurovision).

The new national final organised by Polish broadcaster TVP will take place on 19 February, where ten entries will compete for the Polish ticket to Turin. The winner will be determined by a 50/50 combination vote – half from a public televote and the other half from a five-member professional jury.

Not everything will be new, as hosting the show is last year’s Polish Eurovision representative Rafał Brzozowski. “The Ride” singer will be one third of the hosting team, along with Malgorzata Tomaszewska and Ida Nowakowska.

But before that all kicks off on Saturday, we want to hear from you! Who do you think will be victorious in Poland’s new national final and earn their place at Eurovision 2022 in Turin?

Here are the ten songs to refresh your memory. Then let us know your favourite by voting in our poll below!

Scroll down to vote in our poll

Tu bije serce Europy: Competing songs

Ania Byrcyn – “Dokąd?“

Daria – “Paranoia”

MILA (Emilia Dębska) – “All I Need”

Karolina Lizer – “Czysta woda”

Karolina Stanisławczyk & Chika Toro – “Move”

Ochman – “River”

Kuba Szmajkowski – “Lovesick”

Lidia Kopania – “Why Does It Hurt”

Siostry Szlachta – “Drogowskazy”

Unmute – “Głośniej niż decybele“

Poll: Who should win Poland’s ‘Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizje’?

You can vote for as many acts as you would like to. However, you can only vote once – so make sure to choose wisely!

So who is your favourite in Poland’s Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizje? Do you think any of them can bring the country its first Eurovision victory in 2022? Let us know below!

The name of the national selection is so long that it is ridiculous! How the heck are they going to refer to it if they mention it multiple times? And what if they accidentally forget or mess up the name of it???

Not a problem at all. Probably they will just mention the second half of title most of the time.

Whoever wins this selection (Though I’m almost a 100% it’s gonna be Ochman, which would be great), Poland will do better than last year. I just hope TVP sticks around to this selection for the future 🙂

In the beginning, I was hoping Daria or Ochman would win. I’d be happy with any of them representing Poland. But since Daria started being nasty about Ochman in her interviews…nope, Ochman all the way! The guy is extremely humble and very talented. I’m sure he will be great live! Daria on the other hand…her arrogance caused that I can’t listen to “Paranoia” anymore, just can’t.

Tbh, all she said is that it’s pissing her off that all she’s asked about is him, meanwhile he’s asked about his feelings. Basically acting as if she already lost. And she’s right. Tabloids asking these questions are trash. They haven’t even once asked about anyone but him. What’s”nasty” about it?

Well, she was nasty. She said that Krystian getting such high winning odds was purely due to good management, boasting that she has 4.9/5 marks among all the eurovision fans, basically suggesting that people actually want her to win and Krystian is so high with bookies only thanks to the work of his team. That’s a nasty accusation. And all was said in a very arrogant way. To me it just feels like she was convinced she will win and now since Ochman released his song and people started to say he should win, she can’t take it.

It’s the way she talks that just seems very unpleasant. I can’t remember exactly, but she was also saying things like “people don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes”, “I want people to see truth in it”, implying that Krystian (or other contestants) are somehow not fair. She also likes to brag about how she is the only Polish singer who has her songs in English played on the radio etc. There’s being confident and there’s being self-absorbed. I can understand that she is annoyed when she keeps getting asked about other contestants, but she just does not come… Read more »

Please, let it be River! I would finally be excited about my country’s entry! But I don’t trust TVP at all, so anything can happen… I can see that many people also like Paranoia, which is an okay-ish song for me, but from what we’ve seen until now, it really doesn’t sound great live… And I watched some interviews with Daria, unfortunately she seems really unlikeable and makes some weird comments about other contestants. I just don’t understand why they switched from internal selection to this. I am also worried about the studio, sound quality and staging – TVP does… Read more »

Ochman will easily win this, this national final is as predictable as the Norwegian and the Lithuanian ones.

Daria’s song is cool but Poles did not vote for Margaret in 2016, they won’t vote for Paranoia now. The views mean nothing obviously.

Predictable isn’t the right word when you remember what happened in 2016. Neither favourite nor 2nd favorite won. Btw, they did vote for Margaret, just Michal’s fangirls voted him more. Ochman won the Voice on Michals team so yeah

I don’t think Michal won thanks to his fangirls. Margaret just didn’t sound so well live. People were expecting something amazing from her and it was just mediocre. The song just sounded completely different live, it was lacking the energy – maybe it was not her fault, the small studio etc. didn’t help. Michal’s voice was very good and his song just stood out the most. I remember watching it – Margaret’s song was the only one I had heard before – and when I saw Michal’s performance I was like “wait, that’s actually good”. And probably many people thought… Read more »

For me, the runaway winner here is River. It’s a really beautiful song which has both mass appeal and artistic finesse. It’s one of my personal favorites of this whole NF season, and I objectively see the potential for a top ten result. I like Paranoia, Move, and Dokad, but I don’t get the same winner vibes from them. I wouldn’t knock them down as internal choices, as all of them are better than The Ride. Paranoia is very catchy, but I think it would have a direct comparison with That’s Rich. I am actually liking Move’s inverse usage of… Read more »

there’s clearly a path to follow here (I’d argue 2, since I also think poland has a competent entry in the form of Paranoia), River is unlike anything we’ve heard thus far (in the context of eurovision 2022); it’s modern young and has a lot of live potential.
I’d like any of the 2 to win, and any of them would become my current top 2 (sorry Italy is better). Good luck

How can Unmute be part of the competition? As far as I know, there’s an ESC rule that an entry has to have a vocal part for it to be viable. Polish sign language, as much as I appreciate the inclusivity, isn’t vocal.

Could be. They need to do something, because as is, it won’t be allowed to compete.
Norway was close to having been disqualified back in 1995 with only a few seconds of vocals in their entire entry. (That they ended up winning the whole thing that year is a different story. :D)

I am so glad! It feels like we are back in the game. It might just be that the broadcaster is finally taking ESC seriously this year. I really want Ochman to win this Saturday, River is by far the best option for the contest. On its own the song screams quality, additionally Krystian is an amazing live vocalist with great stage presence and lets face it the song lends itself to an interesting, atmospheric staging. All in all its a whole package. In right hands this could go straight into the finale and then high up on the left… Read more »

After the first listening, there are four I enjoyed: Ania, Daria, Lizer and Ochman. So it all depends of the performance live. I would not go for Move, we already have Queen Chanel there. Ochman would be a great choice, but would compete directly with Brividi. Something really local is always great, so Ania or Lizer? Just thinking aloud…

I really believe you finished 7 years of music school. Really. Also I really believe you’re not just Ochman’s huge fan. Especially since you denied being his fan despite noone mentioning his name. Really. It’s allright live. Obviously you can hear it’s different since she’s running around and singing but come on. And even if you had problem with that she’s taking extra vocal lessons just in case so you can clearly tell she does care. Meaning you have no idea how does she sound live now, because nobody does. Ochman will probably win this easily.

However I don’t think it’d win Eurovision since Arcade won not long ago and it has a very similar feel. That being said I think they’ll still easily finish top 10 regardless of what the remaining 30 odd countries have to send.

I’m pretty sure the televote would be huge and the jury should certainly be nicer to it than to Poland 2016. So that might make a top 5 possible.

I still stand by that he wouldn’t win based on each year having a different type of winner. Televote would do well (esp. diaspora helping quite a bit and let’s not lie about that). Jury winner? Potentially.

Just depends if anything else comes along… we still have another 15-20+ countries we have no clue what they’re sending because not all their songs are out in their selections/they’ve not revealed their entry.
