On Wednesday, the fourth semi-final of of Una Voce per San Marino took place in San Marino. This semi-final was only for artists from San Marino. Six Sammarinese participants competed for three tickets to Friday’s Emerging Artists Final.

In the end, Garon x Duan, Giada Pintori and Giulia Vitri advanced to Friday’s show.

Before then, there’s the second chance round, scheduled for Thursday. Here, the fourth to eighth placed qualifiers from the first three semi-finals will compete for the last four spots in the Emerging Artists Final.

Una Voce per San Marino: Emerging artists semi-final four results

Three acts qualified for the Emerging Artists Final are:

  • Garon x Duan – “Power”
  • Giada Pintori – “Luce e Tenebre
  • Giulia Vitri – “Father & Son

Garon x Duan are an alternative-pop music duo that formed in 2018. Duan is an instrumentalist, producer and singer. Meanwhile, Garon is a songwriter and the lead singer of the duo. Grunge, Hip Hop, R&B are their major influences, which allow them to stand out and give life to a new musical wave.

They debuted in November 2019 with their first single “How It Feels”.

Giada Pintori – “Luce e Tenebre

Giada Pintori is a singer-songwriter who writes her songs by accompanying herself with the piano. She has previously written songs for the musicals una notte di mezza estate (a midsummer night) and noi supereroi (we superheroes).

The song “Fragile”, which she sang in the second round of the semi-final, was her first single released in 2019. You can listen it below:

Giulia Vitri has participated in X Factor and the Tour Music Fest.

Since 2017, she has been part of a pop-soul acoustic duo, performing in local clubs.

Garon x Duan have my attention judging by the song posted above. Hope their song is good. It’s cool to have some local talent from San Marino.

I don’t even have the energy to follow this. Why does San Marino needs a national final with 50+ songs? I just can’t.

All the people criticising the production of Una Voce per San Marino need to remember that this is a country of only 35,000 people. The fact that we’re getting a contest at all is something we should celebrate.

If the jury voted in the semifinal for poor/bad artists, it is not the fault of the country which is small.
