Dora 2022 airs tonight, so we’ll soon find out who will succeed Albina and represent Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest to take place this May in Turin.

Earlier this week, we asked you to name your favorite to win the national selection. After counting 3,022 votes, we now have the results!

Your Favorite to win Dora 2022: Marko Bošnjak with “Moli za nas”

Our readers’ big favourite is Marko Bošnjak with the Balkan-tinged ballad “Moli za nas”. He won convincingly with 883 votes (29.22% of the total), well ahead of the pack. He rose to fame as the winner of the second season of Pinkove Zvezdice when he was nine years of age. Now, at 18, he’s knocking on the door to Eurovision.

In second place we have someone who isn’t a stranger to Dora, having placed second and third to date. It’s Mia Negovetić with “Forgive me (Oprosti)”. She garnered 565 votes (18.70% of the total). The song was composed by Laurell Barker and Andreas “Stone” Johansson.

Third place goes to ToMa with “In the Darkness” with 349 votes (11.55% of the total). He participated in last year’s Dora as well, placing sixth with the song “Ocean of Love”, which later became his first song to get on the HR Top 40 chart.

And rounding up the top 5, we have Mia Dimšić with “Guilty Pleasure” (325 votes) and Bernarda with “Here for Love” (304 votes). You’ll remember that Bernarda placed in the Top 5 in the OGAE Second Chance contest in 2021.

Mia Negovetic is the best choice at this time. Marko is a wonderful talent that deserves a better song, hopefully next year.

He said in an interview that it was a conscious decision to sing in Croatian because for so much people it sounds very beautiful. Good guy, thank you !

I don’t know if I trust either the juries or the televoters to appreciate Marko in May, but still, the best song should win tonight.
