It’s been an eventful few days in the world of Eurovision. On Wednesday we lost an entry — Alina Pash with “Shadows Of Forgotten Ancestors”. And while things might be in flux in Ukraine, six more countries have made the final call on their acts for Turin — Croatia, Malta, Norway, Poland, San Marino and Slovenia.
But how do these new picks compare with the previous 12? And which of the 18 is your favourite so far? It’s time to vote. Italy’s Mahmood and Blanco took gold in our two most recent surveys, but can they hold on for a third week? You decide!
You can listen to the six new additions below. Then vote in our poll. Choose wisely, you can only vote ONE time. Voting is open until Friday 25 February. We will then relaunch the poll after the weekend to include all the newly selected entries.

This will finish easily top 10 despite
what you think
downvote will start at 10, 9…..haha
im dying to see the your faces when it finishes top 10, dont say i didnt tell you
I’m with you on this one. I think it will finish Top 5. Another one a lot of people are sleeping on is Macedonia. I think she will finish Top 5 as well.
Dear Italians and Poles, don’t trust the hype on wiwibloggs. Sincerely, 2021 Croatians.
usually the results are opposite then the polls here in wiwiblogs
My Favourites: 1. Albania 2. Latvia 3. Spain 4. Norway 5. Ukraine 6. Lithuania I don’t why or how, but Albania’s entry has grown on me so damn much. It didn’t really like it at first but now it’s MY jam. It stays in first for me. I also really like the goofy nature of Latvia and Norway’s entries. Not sure why everyone’s so against joke entries, when these ones are so well put together. They’re fun, they make me laugh, and make me bop out. Spain’s got a catchy song and great choreo to add to it. What’s more… Read more »
Less than the half of entries known by now. Still possible, it’ ll B a good year again.
1) Italy
2) Lithuania
3) Spain
4) Ireland
5)Norway
6)Poland
7)Croatia
8)Estonia
9)Czechia
10) San Marino
I will only choose the top 6 that I love for now. I think this songs will grow stronger until the final night and hopefully have a top 10 finish.
1. Albania
2. Ukraine
3. Spain
4. Italy
5. Poland
6. Norway
“River ” Poland Masterpiece
1. Ireland
2. Spain
3. Poland
And now I wait to complete my top 10
I do not understand the hype around Poland. What’s so special about it? Please tell me
Maybe it is slightly overhyped, but when was the last time Poland actually had a really good song for Eurovision? Compared to what they had sent in the past, It’s miles ahead quality wise.
this same is with Spain and Italy
it is down to everyone’s taste but Poland has for sure a quality song. Voice, lyrics and music are very solid. I believe it will get a lot of points from juries, then the televote I do not know but apparently people like it a lot.
TOP 5
After a couple times listening, my favorites are Lithuania and San Marino. Norway is also growing. Mostly because performance-wise, they are the best so far.
1) Italy, 2) TBD and 3) TBD. Let’s face it: what we have so far is not great. I can’t wait to see what the rest of Europe has to offer! The three I like the least are Spain, Lithuania and Slovenia.
I’m not a giant head, but it’s now time to scream “show me what you got” 🙂
My TOP 7
1.Italy
2.Spain
3.Norway
4.Lithuania
5. Poland
6.Estonia
7.San Marino
5.San Marino 4. Ireland 3. Italy 2. Poland 1. Latvia
Being honest though…I’m rather underwhelmed so far. And you can tell by the fact that a joke entry is unironically my favorite so far (at the very least, i know it’ll be a fun one to watch i guess)
my top 4( ex Poland, im polish) in random order:
Norway
Czechia
Israel
Spain
My top 5 looks like this right now:
Honorable mentions to Ukraine, San Marino (had Achille Lauro gone with Domenica, I’d have it as top 3, but I guess sanremo has the exclusive), and Ireland.
Best of lucks to these acts from Sverige 🙂
My top 3
Still Italy for me, and I can’t say anything else comes close. Won’t mind them winning two years in a row. I’m surprised Poland is in 2nd place in the poll, it’s a great choice!
There are so many very weak songs this year and I struggle to think what can qualify and what won’t.
The strongest countries (russia, sweden, etc…) will select this song by this next to weeks so I think that the level will increse.
I’m sure that this year will have a very big level.
I have my doubts regarding Sweden, only Cornelia has a good entry so far but Swedes will vote for Anders
I could not agree more: no other song can come close to Italy yet. And ironically enough, “Brividi” was even not my favourite in San Remo! It was “Ciao ciao”. Italy could win by a mile this year…
Poland
Estonia
Czech
Italy
My top 4
I know this is what everybody says every year, but I quite feel the choices made to date doesn’t fit my expectation. I mean, I look at the SF and 75% of them would be NO QF in any standard year. The 1st SF is specially bad. I hope it gets better…
Anyway, my top 5:
So people are actually going in on the @What does the fox say” knockoff just because Norway is sending it. If it was Croatia sending that it would never get any attention
I am just looking forward to Bologna 2023! 😀
1.Croatia
2.Spain
3.Norway
Italy and Poland are extremely overrated.
I agree…..I cant see anything special about the Italian song. It seems that the favouritism now moves from Sweden to Italy as they take over in the rankings.
Spain is my favourite so far, I love it. I also like Italy, Poland, Norway and Lithuania.
No shade but would Italy be this high and have this hype if it wasn’t Mahmood but some no name singer? Genuinely curious. I’m probably not hearing that IT thing but dunno.
Yeah, pretty high quality song but nothing special. Most ordinary Eurovision-viewers will hear the song for the first time at Grand final and will not remember Mahmood. This is anot an instantly catchy song, although both singers do their job perfectly and they radiate with charisma.
Spain – I’m in love with Chanel, don’t think anyone can top her in my heart, I’m gonna support her equally as representative of my own country Norway – Really fun and different, I watched MGP every week and got attached to all the artists, + I’m attached to Norway as a country Albania – Powerful, different from typical Albanian entries, think that revamp will be good too Czech Republic – A little bit generic, but it’s a great song, no winning potential Italy – Emotional and nice, but I’m not impressed, overrated a bit North Macedonia – This is… Read more »
Btw: Estonia – not a fan of country music*, not Estonia as country haha, love u guys <3
“Forced femininity” can’t believe that was actually a part of your comment for Israel
Well he forced it, didn’t he? It’s nothing wrong with that. I had fun with the performance, just felt like someone forced him to act as feminine as he can, it felt like he was acting. But maybe that was the point of the performance idk.
I am Spanish and in love with the wolves! So it seems that we are both supporting the same two countries (although another part of my heart is also with Italy).
Poland is the song I like best at this time.
Besides Albania, Czech R., Italy and Espana there is nothing good to be enthusiastic for. Hopefully Cyprus will send something cool.
If Cyprus tries to go with another Eleni Foureira rip-off, they’ll be on a serious NQ alert
This year I can’t make my top 10 yet. For my taste only 5, max 6 songs of 19 are decent, rest are sharing my NQ position. I will wait for rest of the songs to see, if it can beat 2011 in terms of poor song quality.
Top three:
My top 10 right now: 1. Poland 2. Italy 3. Estonia 4. Albania 5. Lithuania 6. San Marino 7. Norway 8. Ireland 9. Israel 10. Czech Republic
My own country not included not to be accidentally biased.
About to blog an article …
It’s called … The naught little child -AUS.
So far I like Italy, Poland, Albania, Lithuania and that’s it.
Besides what I like, I think Poland and Italy, is the only winning material so far (also Alina of Ukraine was winning material but she drops from the competition). Spain and Norway are problably close to top.
spain and norway are great. amazing dance routines.
Oh the overwhelming hate for AUS is real.
Shall we cancel with the death threats I have received in the last hour?
Honey it’s not the wiwibloggs but the actual bookies.
So shall we make Australia decides or shall we kill ourselves.
@wiwiblogs thanks ..
Do better
I’ll be blogging from the gc…
Say it to me in person.
I’m here for the drama but can someone explain which drama.
Never fear rob …. This AUS decides will challenge Italy for the trophy. ????
Same here, but I think the only drama so far is one dude arguing with himself and answering his own comments.
Aus will be top 2.
Australia will get slaughtered by the televote.
Poland and Italy best so far this year !@
So far, Italy, San Marino, Norway and Spain have the worst son 2022,
I like on song:
River and perhaps Brividi.
Everything else is a 6/10 or below.
Pretty weak and underwhelming year so far
Tier 1 – Great songs/performances!
1. Italy
2. Spain
Tier 2 – Enjoyable songs, should achieve a decent placement
3. Czech
4. Latvia
5. San Marino
6. Norway
7. Albania
8. Ireland
9. Poland
Tier 3 – No comment
All the other songs…
I think you are from Spain or Italy :D:D:D:D
Italy has been one of my favourites so far, but I think Poland now has my top spot. It’s interesting how close they are in the poll results – both very strong entries! I don’t like Norway’s act, it’s just not to my taste but I think it will do really well – it could be TikTok friendly. My favoutires so far:
I’m not from Ireland but the song is in my top 3. It reminds me a bit of Blondie and all of the 70’&80′ music. I can’t understand why ppl hate the song 🙁
I think a lot of people don’t realise the staging for the live performance will be completely different for the real thing. I think the song has the potential to do well and I like it. I’m trying to be objective as an Irish person and I would probably place it middle at the moment. Its hard not to be biased
My top 5:
1. Spain
2. Italy
3. Slovenia
4. Lithuania
5. Israel
I’m happy to see Slovenia in your top, I also rescue Italy, the rest are not my cup of tea 🙂 Love from sweden
Nice bucket of languages.
My heart is divided between Italy and Spain.
Eventhough the song is not considered as a top favorite, my full support will still go to “Hope” by STEFAN. I also enjoy “Sentimentai” by Monika and “River” by Ochman.
I have a feeling Estonia could play the dark horse card this year. Same with Lithuania.
I think Estonia will be fine, but I am more worried about Lithuania. I fear it will be placed in the second running order slot because it’s the only slow paced song so far in the first half of semi final 1. That really kills many songs’ chances to qualify. I do like it very much but I am worried it’s in a vulnerable position this year. It could be a dark horse that we didn’t see coming but we’ll see. I’d rather expect it to not qualify and be surprised and happy that it actually qualifies than want it… Read more »
Seriously? Lithuania second in running order? The song is too different to be killed off so early in the contest. I can’t with these comments from you D: Right now I’m seeing Lithuania as a easy qualifier because it will stand out on its own and for eurofans, who, most of them, have perception of only poppish uptempo sounding songs as ‘good’ ones, to undestand it is very hard, because their ears got too used to fast food music songs that hide behind so called ‘deep’ meanings or good vocals, when in general they are pile of…
Italy by a light year….
Wow, it’s looking close at the top so far.
I want to join the San Marino fanclub. Where to go? 🙂
1. San Marino
2. Norway
3. Estonia
…
17. Slovenia
18. Croatia
19. Spain
Well, Elsie Bay is from the west where people also love their «own» artists.
And what about Kristin Husøy’s 2.place in 2020? That was only thanks to Mid-Norway voting for their «own». Staysman winning the televote from the populous East in 2015, finishing third overall? There are alot of examples so just don’t blame the North!:)
Ronela owns my heart. So far, my vote this year is going to Albania. I’m so excited for when she finally drops her revamp. It sounds amazing just from the snippets I’ve heard so far.
It’s not my favourite, but I really like the entry and think it will do well. I didn’t realise she was going to do a revamp, it will be interesting to hear.
