The Netherlands’ S10 will release her long-awaited Eurovision 2022 song on 3 March. The “Adem Je In” hitmaker will hold her world premiere in Amsterdam’s Tuschinski Theatre.

Broadcaster AVROTROS selected S10 that’s Stien den Hollander as the country’s contestant. This followed an open call for songs after Rotterdam hosted Eurovision in May 2021. Representing a new generation of Dutch pop music, the North Holland native will be the first performer to sing in Dutch since 2010 when Sieneke crashed out of the semis.

For this special release, the country departs from its usual prime-time television release. Instead, AVROTROS will travel to the Tuschinski Theatre in Amsterdam. Voted as the most-beautiful cinema in the world by Time Out in 2021, this venue celebrated its 100th anniversary in October.

Perhaps Tuschisnki is a hint about the entry too. Will the song and its music video be as cinematic and stylish as the location?

S10 sets song release date for March 3

AVROTROS has announced that S10, whose name is pronounced “Es-Teen”, will present her Eurovision 2022 bid live on NPO Radio 2 as well as on different platforms. Similar to last year, the delegation’s social media accounts will premiere the music video, alongside the official Eurovision YouTube channel.

From the Tuschinki Theatre, NPO Radio 2 presenter Bart Arens will discuss S10’s artistry and her Eurovision journey during his radio prgoramme Aan de Slag between 9:00 and 12:00 CET.

Earlier, AVROTROS announced that S10’s creative team will consist of director Marnix Kaart, creative supervisor Wouter van Ransbeek and light designer Henk Jan van Beek

Marnix Kaart acted as the principle director for the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, while Henk Jan van Beek was previously involved with OG3NE’s act in 2017. Wouter van Ransbeek will collaborate with S10 to develop the concept of the performance.

omg i listened to her antipsychotica song from her first album and WOW, the beat is sick and you could understand the lyrics. that song would’ve been controversial and would be perfect for Eurovision staging.

GO S10, give us a great song

Hyped! I trust the committee since they selected the song. Let’s not forget they did not select last year’s song so it’s not their fault NL flopped lol.

S10 is quite successful on Spotify, millions of streams and 680k+ monthly users in netherlands and belgium.

Please do not disappoint us! I am excited they’re singing in Dutch.

Avrotros would have never chosen Birth Of a New Age if it was sent in as a proposal

The song I am the most hyped for this year. All of her music is insane! At this point, I have listened to her music so much, that I may be biased for her even before the song is released.

Wow, what a beautiful and positive reaction. I’m also looking forward to the song of S10. I really like her sound and music. Her last online stream-concert at Eurosonic Noorderslag was insanely good. I really hope for a real gem; S10 will bring quality to the contest for sure! ?

There were rumours about Dans Mij Naar Huis being her song (which would be Top 5 in ESC I think), but I think it will end up being a different song.

S10 broke through at age 17 by rapping about her experience in a psych ward. Her debut EP ‘Antipsychotica’ is almost too painful to listen to, if you understand the lyrics of course. I’m hoping some of that raw emotion is in her Eurovision entry, although luckily she seems to be in a much better place now, mentally.

That’s always the risk, the song might not live up to expectations. I generally try not to hype up songs until they are released.

Since Anouk, the Netherlands has taken seriously Eurovision. Language doesn’t matter, even it might be a point in favour among lots of english songs. So, the best for the Netherlands which has respected the festival during the last years

I can’t wait and I have my fingers crossed that it will be a good song. We haven’t heard Dutch in a long time at Eurovision.

The Netherlands had been quite silent but, given S10’s discography, I expect something great from them! I can’t wait! 😀

I think The Netherlands deserve to win again, because of this pandemic all the country could not enjoy the full Eurovision experience, with the Eurovillage, the Euroclub and all the kind of stuff they had planned, like the opening ceremony on the bridge and others cool things that couldn’t happen, Rotterdam should get a second chance thet deserve it after the great and flawless show they gave us last year under restrictions, incredible job, so I guess without restrictions it would be again better.

They’ll only deserve to win again if they have the best song. You can’t just cheat another country out of their own chance.

Well firstly it’s not always the best song that wins unfortunately, secondly some of you cheat anothers countries out of their own chance because you want Italy to win 2 years in a row for weird reasons too (Italy obsession you know again and again), I only do the same here, it’s disturbing isn’t it?

Or they just want Italy to win because they like the song? I absolutely love brividi so I wouldn’t mind if italy wins again but I’ld love NL to win as well, or any other country basically if I love the song

It’s too soon for the Netherlands when I get and they held the hosting Dorie’s for two years, I think they want a long time span between wins.

Let’s not pretend Italy could fart on stage and be considered a favourite to win ?

Or Italy has just been serving quality the last couple of years?

And great they have been awarded enough for that results wise, what more, we give them the trophy each years or a top 5 placement each years for that? Because they bring always quality (which is subjective), others countries bring quality too and are not awarded the same ….there are 40 others countries that exist

So excited to hear Dutch (my own language as a Belgian) again in Eurovision! This could go both ways but I feel S10 will bring something unique and intruiging. It will stand out in the current bunch of songs that’s for sure
