After a top-four finish in 2021, Iceland are hoping to keep up the momentum at Eurovision 2022. The island’s search for their act continues with semi-final two of Söngvakeppnin 2022, scheduled for Saturday 5 March.
Five acts will battle it out for two qualification spots to the grand final.
But before Iceland makes a decision, we want to hear from you. Which performers from semi-final two of Söngvakeppnin 2022 do you want to qualify?

Söngvakeppnin 2022: Show details
Söngvakeppnin 2022 features two semi-finals and one grand final. The hosts of all three shows are Björg Magnúsdóttir, Jón Jónsson and Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir.
In each semi-final, all the acts must perform their song in Icelandic. Those that reach the grand final must then perform in the language they intend to sing at Eurovision, should they win Söngvakeppnin 2022 and be selected as Iceland’s entry.
The results of the semi-finals will purely be down to the public. A televote will choose two acts to qualify for the grand final. Of the six non-qualifiers, a jury will then select one wildcard act to complete the five-song grand final.
In the first round of the grand final, a 50/50 split of viewer and jury votes will determine the two superfinalists. The final decision in the superfinal will be made solely by public vote.
At Eurovision 2022, Iceland are scheduled to perform in the second half of the first semi-final on 10 May.

oh NO it seems I am in a slight minority on Suncity and Sanna but I am so addicted to their song, it is one of my most replayed of the NF season. I just think it sounds so cool and fun. I love it.
My faves are Hanna Mia and Suncity & Sanna. Maybe my second choice could qualify, but Hanna Mia has the least chances. I’m fine with Reykjavikurdaetur qualifying too.
Fun fact_ Markéta Irglová is originally from the Czech republic and in 2008 she won an Oscar (!!!) for her song “Falling Slowly” with Glen Hansard
The “Once” soundtrack was also Grammy nominated. Both it and the film are amazing.

Katla should win the whole thing. Icelandic sounds so powerful!
These are all very good; I must say that this semi looks stronger than semi 1. Katla and Reykjavikurdaetur would be my choices here, but I must say I would chose any of the other three for the jury wild card over the ones in semi 1.
