Hot take: San Marino was always gonna send him no matter what. Aaron got 46 pts in the semi final by the jury and now all of a sudden he gets 39, just 2 points behind Achille? I don’t buy it…

Most of them the same. And still, to drop that much they would need to go from three 10s (in the semi) to 7s on the final. Dodgy af

At the end he was very lucky. Only one point. It’s clear the second entry was better. This winner is not the big winner of the competition, but a weak one. Just look at his placement in Sanremo with another song. I am sure that if he had presented Stripper in Sanremo, instead than Domenica, his final position in the ranking would have been definitely be worse. Achille Lauro is like a puff pastry or a cotton candy. Tutta fuffa!

What do I think about the results? Not surprised at all, 5 jurors were asked to vote between 1 and 10, so inevitably everybody was going to be really close together (very few jurors are going to give someone a 1, 2, 3 or 4, that would come across as really rude). Think about the Wiwi Jury, if you were to add up the individual scores over 5 people, you would end up with a very close result. When you average the overall score, you have to do it to two decimal places otherwise there would be a tie. So… Read more »

Imagine Aaron winning lol

I think Burak’s song would have sounded better on a bigger stage with LED.

I find it difficult to believe that the old dudes in the jury liked so much Stripper, i think Achille’s popularity and appeal to the audience made them vote for him so it wasn’t about the song.

I hope SMRTV changes the format, add televoting or online voting and increase the number of jury members, make it more diverse and for Christ’s sake add Valentina Monetta in the jury….

They voted him to please the public and with the idea to collect the votes from Italy. But their strategy was wrong as Italy will vote for another semifinal. But, of course, if he is able to make it to the final, he will get some points from Italy. Anyway, the jury was a joke. And it’s difficult for San Marino to organize a relevote of only san marinese citizens, as there is no local mobile phone company. They could use only the landline, though.

What about only voting via a website like what JESC does?

I love Valentina as well but I don’t agree that they need someone who thought Social Network Song and Spirit of the Night were good enough to represent the country and compete with…

Hot take: The Social Network Song was a satirical MASTERPIECE and Spirit of the Night was really catchy!

with achille smrtv won’t have to pay for anything… money is their priority. they’re a tiny country’s broadcaster, can’t blame them.
