Eurovision 2022 Acts 28 Feb

Three more songs have entered the Eurovision 2022 race in recent days. Over the weekend, Australia and Finland selected their entries, while Ukraine confirmed its replacement act following Alina Pash’s withdrawal.

But how do these new picks compare with the previously selected entries? And which ones are your favourite so far? It’s time to vote. Italy’s Mahmood and Blanco took gold in our three most recent surveys, but can they hold on for a fourth week? You decide!

You can listen to the three new additions below. Then vote in our poll. Choose wisely, you can only vote ONE time. Voting is open until Thursday 3 March. We will then relaunch the poll after the weekend to include all the newly selected entries.

Honestly not feeling Eurovision this year for to events in Ukraine.
It will feel weird watching this year.

But anyway, my favorite entries this year: (in no particular order)

Spain
Italy
Poland
Ukraine
Ireland
Moldova
Finland
Estonia

Spain, Italy, Poland and Ukraine are my winners out of this list.

I hope Kalush can make it to Eurovision this year, they’re performance will be so bittersweet, so anticipated, and probably one of the most watched tv moments of the year. It’s also a bop which also helps.

Ngl, I feel quite disappointed so far bc most NFs had better entries than the ones that ended up being selected in their respective countries 🙁
Moreover, might elaborate on my opinion regarding each of this year’s entries once all of them are out.

Why’s Norway so high? The song isn’t that good anyways.
And guys, please don’t overrate Ukraine. I support them in this war against P*tin’s regime and the song’s decent, but please vote for them if you really like them and not out of pity 🙁

They were already 2nd in the betting odds and pretty high in all polls before all this started (both with Alina’s song and Stefania), so it’s safe to say they were always a popular entry.

My personal favorite is still Spain, with Norway following. Spain, cuz everything in that performance was perfect, I truly can project myself in that performance and I’m feeling powerful. I listen/watch it every single day. Norway, cuz it’s super fun and enjoyable, they gonna make a great party on stage.

Ukraine has a really good song but please lets vote by ears not hearts. I support Ukraine so much in their war against Putin dictatorship but voting on the song only because we feel sorry for what Ukraine is facing now doesnt make sense… Otherwise we don’t have to send anyone else to Turin as it is decided Kalush wins. For me Poland and Spain are the only ones I like so far.. very low level of songs this year unfortunately… Completely don’t understand hype on Lithuania and Albania but this is only my personal view;)

I have been afraid to say that because I don’t know how to say it without it coming off as insesitive. If people think Stefania is the best song then go ahead and vote for it. But don’t vote for Ukraine because of the war. If Ukraine wins just because of that it would be unfair to the act that actually had the best song. And Ukraine winning doesn’t necessarily help. People who want to show support to Ukraine but want to vote for another song in the contest could donate the amount they would spend on voting. That could… Read more »

True! I wish Kalush Orchestra all the best.

But we don’t know how long the war will last.. If Ukraine win esc they might not organize it, because they will need money to rebuild the country and not to prepare a song contest.

I’m going to vote for Ukraine. Any other country will need to earn it with the song. But I will use my votes how I wish, as is everyone’s choice.

For Albania, it’s been a long time since they sent a bop because they usually send ballads. Many fans have been desiring an Albanian bop since Me Tana’s loss two years ago and they finally got it for this year. I hope the revamp turns out well. I don’t think Lithuania is that hyped up to be honest. Yes, it has lots of passionate fans for it (I’ve seen several rankings on this site that place it highly, even number 1 on a couple), but it also has its detractors that rank it low too and think it won’t qualify… Read more »

I’m genuinely so underwhelmed with these songs. The first half of the reveals have been so ‘meh’. I hope the next/final batch of songs yet to be revealed save this years Eurovision for me.
The only songs so far that I’ve listened to more than four or five times are from Estonia, Czechia and Ireland. I repeatedly listen to a lot of the songs that didn’t make it past their countries selection processes more than I have the ones that have made it to Eurovision.

Anyone else feel the same this year?

Those who are angry about Ronela including English lyrics in the upcoming “Sekret” revamp need to shut up. She’s keeping a part of the Albanian lyrics and also adding Spanish. That being said, “Sekret” will be trilingual. I have nothing against revamps in general.

The more acts are revealed, the more I think there’s a good chance of Spain going Top 3 this year. After so many years of humiliation, I think it’s very well deserved. Go Chanel!

Good joke. There’s no way that message (with that staging) could’ve been understood in the rest of Europe. It’s an amazing song, well-written and full of double takes but only if you speak Spanish, otherwise it looks like a theatre of the abstract school play.

Spain sent the best it could send of everything that was presented, neither Rigoberta (horrible choreography and staging), nor tanxugueiras (for me, three hysterics screaming lalala with two guys jumping) can be compared with the perfect and well-worked performance of chanel

I said if Kalush went they’d be my new #1 and they are. But if either Fulenn or Hold Me Closer are selected, they might bump Ukraine down. But Stefania is a great song and I hope fans don’t dismiss its quality in an attempt to overcorrect for sympathy due to current events nor the Vidbir outcome.
