He’s the Yorkshire singer-songwriter who brought fire and huge trumpets to Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam. Now, it’s time to light up the room once more. We’re pleased to confirm United Kingdom’s James Newman will perform at the London Eurovision Party 2022.

On Sunday 3 April, James Newman will light up the room at London’s Hard Rock Hotel for the UK’s biggest and best Eurovision party.

I was gutted for our entrant..We need better songs and not just young men. We in the UK influence music as does America. America is annoyjng me it has been in the competition Influencing and it’s computer technology and global brands. The rap music is American.

I understand your sentiment but not your context. We’re you gutted by James Newman’s result last year or are you disappointed with the selection of Sam Ryder?Personal taste aside yes this year there are too many male singers talking about their feelings. At least Sam has some swag and a song that is memorable. He should get a reasonable score. Embers however was boring. The UK does have an influence over popular music a generic song though isn’t going to score well at Eurovision though no matter how technically ‘good’ it is

I was delighted when Embers was unveiled this time last year, but was worried all week (up to the contest) that it would fall in the results, and unfortunately this happened. The performance and staging was poor, but I’ll always enjoy the song. And I’m so sorry for James that he’ll have this 0 points tag, but he’s had previous success to look back on and I’m certain he’ll bounce back and work with people like Calvin Harris or Iain James again and enjoy future success, maybe not as a performer but his talents lie more with producing and writing.… Read more »

What a good sport James Newman is. Some of the people writing nasty comments here wish they had the balls this guy has.

Aw. It’s nice that he’ll get to experience a eurovision pre party since something cropped up in 2020 and 2021 preventing the pre’s from happening.
But please, leave that oversize leather jacket at home. lol

Let people have their emotional moments after flopping in front of millions of viewers while representing your own country. It must hurt so much and for him to still associate with Eurovision makes me happy.

Offended? Despite his 0 points and his god awful vocals, James had the most fun of everyone. Shows that he loves Eurovision.

Omg I thought that said he was gonna represent the UK again for a minute

Anyways glad he’s making an appearance again. I wouldn’t mind him being a songwriter in the future for an entry tbh
