Yes, it’s so unprofessional and annoying… At least, we have a date.

Me too, it’s actually my favorite of the Baltic entries this year. I could be slightly biased because I love spaghetti western scores, but we’ve never had that sound represented at the contest before and having it sent to Italy Is just perfect. The spaghetti western sub genre Is call that because those 60s and 70s westerns were made by Italian filmmakers and since Italy is hosting Eurovision this year, what better song to send the contest then a song with spaghetti western musical elements?

Stafan’s song is one of the rare ones where the live performance is superior to the recorded performance. Mainly, I noticed that his diction was so much better live. Maybe he has been working on it, but on the recording, there was a lot of unintelligible mumbling that just was there when he sang live.

stefan’s entry reminds me a lot of victor crone, yet more finished and having a story behind it. victor crone’s entry felt ingenuine but stefan feels real. it’s not my type of music but i think the spaghetti western theme and western styling are so clever make estonia such a standout this year! i can’t see them not qualifying. it’s also great to see stefan finally at eurovision after years of solid eesti laul attempts 🙂

It is so satisfying to see somebody that’s been doing the national final rounds For years and finally succeed and go to Eurovision. And to go with a great song, not a weak one.

The first time I heard hope, it gripped me from the start as something I wanted to see at eurovision because I thought the spaghetti western themed homage song would be perfect to send to Italy. No other song has that sound and that will make Estonia stand out.

Stefan also gave a sweet acoustic performance of Hope at a peace rally for Ukraine in Tallinn (https://youtu.be/Uae9sqBrR5I). It’s a nice song, and it’s great he’s finally got the chance to represent Estonia, after a few good attempts over the past few years at Eesti Laul. SF2 is going to be tight, but I think Stefan will qualify.

Yes, this is the live version I watched and it was so much better than the recording. Much clearer diction. Completely turned the song from meh to ‘let me download this’.
