Three years after Duncan Laurence lifted the Eurovision trophy, 11 male solo artists are aiming to follow in his footsteps and emerge victorious at the 2022 contest.

But, the question is: which of these songs from male solo acts do you prefer?

Below, you can review all 11 songs that these men are bringing Eurovision 2022. After you’ve had a refresher, be sure to head down and vote in our poll for your favourites.

Scroll down to vote in our poll

A number of the Eurovision 2022 male solo acts are balladeers, such as Australia’s Sheldon Riley, Poland’s Ochman, Azerbaijan’s Nadir Rustamli and Switzerland’s Marius Bear.

But others bring a different flavour to the table. Estonia’s Stefan takes us to the Wild West with a western-inspired track. Belgium’s Jérémie Makiese serves us some R&B, while San Marino’s Achille Lauro goes punk rock.

Israel’s Michael Ben David gives us a self-confidence boost and the United Kingdom’s Sam Ryder takes us up to space.

wrs represents Romania with a little Spanish flair. And Germany’s Malik Harris incorporates a rap verse.

Plenty to choose from indeed.

Stefan is my favorite. Though it’s impressive, I’m personally not a huge fan of big theatrical aaaahs an oooohs. So Stefan’s song and voice are like smooth butter for my ears.
Also Wrs is kind of underrated. He’s a very charismatic performer and the song is really catchy.

Michael ben david is the best performer by far, no doubt about it, regarding the song we can argue…

I’m definitely not the most subjective, because I’m Estonian myself, but Stefan is really genuine and sweet. And he can sing. His emotion after the victory was just so sincere and for a very very long time I am really happy about who will represent Estonia at Eurovision. In previous years I was just meh..good choice or pff..no 😀 I hope he will do well.

I’d like to see the votes per country. If all votes for Germany came from Germany. All U.K. votes were from U.K. etc. so we can get a more accurate image of the results

I believe that was just an example of a big country and not specifically about this year. Big country = many votes = muddies the picture, since those votes aren’t going to count come “election day”. We all know certain countries do it blindly every year (if you think I mean yours, I probably do). Not that Germany is usually one of them. But it’s overall a valid point. It’s the same when an artist asks their followers to vote in such polls (presumably to create hype). It makes the polls a lot less accurate which seems to defy the… Read more »

NFT/crypto bros underestimate not just the amount of negativity but the outright hostility towards their “hobby” among the public. It’s hard to believe he thought Eurofans would be the ideal audience for such a thing.

That said, again, he’s not the only act this year with NFTs. Mahmood and Achille Lauro also have them, though at least they didn’t use Eurovision to promote them.

Agreed. General online ettiquette would be that downvoting is used for comments that don’t contribute or are inappropriate rather than to be used to show disagreement. Wiwibloggs doesn’t have any guidelines on etiquette, but it wouldn’t hurt to add a page to the About section, especially since the site has grown in popularity and can play such a central role in Eurovision culture.

Definitely Stefan here. Most of the other acts don’t do much for me, although I can reckon that there’s a lot of excellent ones this year. Ochman would be my second pick and Jeremie Makiese my third.

I just Googled it. It’s more complicated than that. Some form of online art collecting via crypto currencies. Feels too complicated. Still, even after reading what it is, I have no idea who is wronged by it. If there’s no victim, there’s no crime, right?

I hate it, but try not to judge too hard. Streaming is to blame. If people in music were allowed to actually make some money, this probably would not be happening. Instead, they are forced to give away all of their work for free.

With all the disappointment over artists supporting war or committing assaults, I have no desire to judge anyone over cryptocurrencies. Especially considering this is now apparently ”a thing” (and I have no idea for how long it will last). Feels a bit off at first, but I also feel like I’m underinformed (and I feel like most of the people here probably are) to judge anyone over it. I mean, each to their own, but I have enough trouble cancelling those openly supporting war. It still hurts.

We can purchase their music now if we wanted. We can purchase physicals, collectibles, concert tickets, merch. Something tangible. Something where the buyer is actually benefiting from the exchange, not only the seller. That’s how these things are supposed to work.

Jonas

We can those things, yes – but most don’t.

You’re right, though, maybe I should judge harder. It’s not necessarily out of greed is all I really meant.
