Three years after Duncan Laurence lifted the Eurovision trophy, 11 male solo artists are aiming to follow in his footsteps and emerge victorious at the 2022 contest.
We asked you to vote for your favourite of these 11 singers. It was a tight race, with a total of 8,229 votes being cast
But in the end, it was Poland’s Ochman who just squeezed ahead to pole position.
Poland’s Ochman a favourite of the Eurovision 2022 male soloists
Ochman emerged victorious at Poland’s national final Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję. With his strong vocals, the singer has continued to impress fans during the pre-party season with his performances of “River”.
This support has only grown and that helped him just clinch the number one spot in this poll. Ochman received 1,966 votes, which is 23.89% of the total cast.
Following very closely behind in second place is Sam Ryder. The UK’s act has been on a whirlwind promo tour across Europe, hoping to spread his song “SPACE MAN” far and wide. Many have tipped the British singer as the one to finally help the UK skyrocket up the leaderboard.
Sam was only 19 votes behind Ochman in our poll. Ultimately, he managed to secure 1,947 votes (23.66% of the total).
The field opens up a lot more from here. But claiming the bronze medal is Stefan from Estonia.
He’s bringing the Spaghetti Western song “Hope”, and hoping the cowboy theme will also transmit across Europe. For many, it already is. Y’all awarded Stefan 941 votes (11.44%).

Do you agree with the poll results? Are Ochman and Sam Ryder also your favourite male solo artists of Eurovision 2022? Let us know in the comments below.
so much of the negatives have a 2019 deja vu about them…I remember that “Duncan is bland, cannot connect with the camera, lacks charisma.” We were told Arcade was dull, “nothing special and puts me to sleep.” We know what happened next. 498 votes.
I noticed it too – The better you are, the more haters you have.
Definitely he’s the best. I love his voice.
His song and singing style are clearly polarizing the audience. Ochman’s fan base are taking Eurovision seriously. Wouldn’t mind a bit more sense of self depreciation and humor. By the way, tasteless song.
I’m worried about your taste.
Well done Krystian. My vote would be for Sam Ryder if I had known about this poll. I think his charisma is really endearing and genuine and it shines through his voice when he performs.
Najlepszy g?os tegorocznej Eurowizji.
After yesterday’s scandalous review, I no longer have any respect for Wiwibloggs.
Ochman fans are clearly very passionate, but please respect others opinions.
The guys at Wiwibloggs didn’t find the song particularly special, which I agree. Also, I bet almost all Wiwibloggers agree that Ochman deserved a better song than ‘River’. Ochman’s song simply is not good enough to win, but Ochman himself is good enough to win, he just needs a decent song!
Your opinion is still arbitrary. “River” is a decent song, and even one of the better. Raw production does not have to appeal to everyone.
The more you hate and try to humiliate this beautiful boy, the more I’m sure he will be very successful in Turin.
Didn’t realize Ochman had such an army of really thirsty fans, good for his televote potential I suppose?
Ochman will get quite a lot of votes from the audience and that is irritating for others. And it does not need the votes of the diaspora, which is not really interested in Eurovision and is smaller than it was years ago.
The same texts undermining Ochman’s charisma. The same people imagining that they have any influence on anything. I’m sorry, but there are definitely more people who can’t pull themselves apart from watching and listening to Ochman. Your attempt to depreciate this vulnerable boy is futile.
Sam Ryder, Sheldon Riley, WRS and Michael Ben David are my favourite males this year.
The female soloists are far stronger than the male soloists this year though.
Top 3 are absolutely spot on! Good luck, guys!
Confratulation to Ochman ????? deserved
He’s definitely my favorite male this year anyway <3 phrwoarrr
He is the favorite of 24% of poll readers but not my favorite. Different people connect with different songs. Let’s not attack each other in the comments.
I like Sam Ryder a lot, and WRS has grown on me.
My fish has more personality than Ochman.
oh, sassy
Please, tell me how he should sing a song about being frustrated (to simplify) without being overdramatic like Sheldon Riley. With some personality? What the f**k does that even mean?
I feel emotive when I watch Ochman performing and I’m not a crazy polish fan.
Maybe you are your fish.
He is a robot. He doesn’t bring anything to the stage rather his decent face. Accept it so you won’t be utterly disappointed in May.
What’s the point of denying the truth?
I don’t care about May tbh, I have my own criteria which it could match with the final results of the contest or not.
If I like it, I like it.
And I repeat, this is your personal opinion, not mine. I hate overdramatism, maybe you’ll love it. Accept it.
I don’t mean Ochman needs to be melodramatic like Sheldon but the best performers do have charisma. You can Google it. He has dark charisma in his music video for River which doesn’t translate at all during his live performances at this point. His voice is incredible but he sort of ruins it for me on stage.
Ok, I understand your point of view.
Thanks for answering.
Jesus Christ…. kinda boring every year same drama…he is exactly as he is and that is good for a song River ,rest od this we will see in Turin, he us different personality than Sama
I 100% disagree.
Brings nothing to the stage?, so you know what the staging will be like in May? because it’s supposed to be conpletely different to national selection or pre parties..
You should update your gossip box, information from stand-in rehearsals have been leaked. Poland hasn’t brought anything worthy on the table as far as we know.
seriously, just give it up sweetie pie
Your rumor is not very brilliant. You must be very desperate that you are trying to convince anyone of your nonsense.
You keep talking about that leaked information, yet you didnt say anything specific… i know for a fact, that he will have dancers on stage. Did that ‘gossip’ of yours mention anything about that? Because if not, than sorry to tell you but have been trollled hard lol
So rude..
Salty Samy Ryder fan spotted in the comments
Why would I be salty about a poll? I explained the reasons above. I enjoy River it’s one of the few songs on my playlist from this year. If that’s who is it that’s fine, he’s uncharismatic IMO and that isn’t appealing for a live performer. I actually explained he has charisma in his music video so it’s weird how it doesn’t translate.
Can your fish sing? The lyrics would suit her/him.
Krystian is a knockout vocalist on par with the likes of Rag’n’Bone Man that is undeniable however, I do have to but him 2nd to Sam Ryder in this competition. Sam’s vocal mastery is undeniable, his falsetto’s and high notes are unrivalled and is the best overall vocalist in this years competition. With Krystian on the other hand, I just wish that River was a better song to compared to Space Man, River sits at my #12 whereas Space Man is my #1 in direct comparisons. I wish Krystian the absolute very best of luck in Turin.
Yeap, this is not going to work in May. When all Polish fans start to cry after their 15th place, I’ll be there to give them the tissues. They had a decent song and gave it to the wrong person.
Well I definitely won’t cry seeing how much you were wrong about Ochman:) he will deliver a stunning performance! Better don’t watch this year Eurovision because it might be to hard for you seeing Ochnan’s success:)
oh you’re a darling, aren’t ya
please, remember you said that in a couple of weeks
I wouldn’t bet against it. I don’t think it will do as well as people think unless he gets some charisma.
Charisma is something you are being born with, not a skill you can learn. Ochman is unfortunately uncharismatic.
Stop making eurovision drama…. every year wrong singer or wrong song….. kinda boring
6.34 from Wiwi Jury looking now
It was kinda expected, though. Good for him.
I love Krystian 🙂
well, DESERVED
